Anything Goes - Part 5:

Father, Father.

Justin slumped into the chair next to Brian, picking up the other man’s glass and downing a shot of Jim Beam in one gulp.

“Bad day, dear?” Brian asked in a mocking, high-pitched voice.

“I need another drink,” Justin offered in way of a response, reaching out for Brian’s bottle of beer as well.

“Is something wrong, baby?” Emmett asked when a few minutes later the teen still hadn’t explained his bad mood.

Justin sighed.  He did not want to talk about it.  Did not even want to think about it.  It was just too painful, too surreal for him.  He felt like he was stuck in the episode of Twilight Zone.  Or maybe a nightmare.  Yes.  A nightmare.  Except, he knew it wasn’t.  He checked already.  Pinched himself and everything…more than once.  Didn’t work.  Didn’t wake him up.  Which meant that what he found out today was true.  And that meant the end of the world as he knew it.

“My mother has a boyfriend,” he said solemnly.

“Ha!”  Brian exclaimed, self-satisfied grin plastered on his face.  “I told you!”

Justin glared at the older man.  Did he just smile?  Smile!  When his mother was…  He shuddered at the thought.  “I’m glad it’s so amusing to you.”  He, on the other hand, wasn’t amused in the least.  In fact, he had big plans for drowning that knowledge with as much booze as he could possibly get his hands on.

Unfortunately, his friends didn’t share his opinion on the matter.  “So, who is he?”  Emmett asked inquisitively.

Justin shrugged.  “Some doctor.  She sold him a house or something.”

“Ooh, a doctor,” Emmett singsonged.

Brian snickered quietly.  “Fucking a client.  And here I thought Jen and I had nothing in common.”

Justin stared daggers at the man, trying hard to curb the urge to go all “Othello” on his lover.  Brian, on the other hand, couldn’t stop laughing.

“So, is he good looking?” Emmett couldn’t help but ask.

“Yeah, how big is his dick?” Brian added.

Justin’s eyes snapped up in shock.  “Brian!”

Brian smirked.  “What’s wrong, Sunshine?  Is the idea of hetero sex too much for your young mind to handle?  Or is it the idea of your mother getting fucked by a doctor that’s bothering you?”

Justin shuddered at the visual that ran through his head.  “She’s my mother, Brian.”

Brian sighed, his expression becoming more serious.  “She just wants cock like the rest of us.”

Shuddering once again, Justin held up his hand, trying to stop whatever else was about to come out of his boyfriend’s mouth.  “Stop…just stop…talking…now.”

Suddenly he felt an arm around his shoulders.  He turned to see Michael standing by his side.  Well, at least he had one sympathetic ear in this joint.  “It’s ok, Justin.  You get used to the idea eventually.”

“Yeah, look at Mikey.  Deb’s probably blowing Horvath in the back of his car as we speak and it doesn’t bother him in the least.”  Brian chuckled, barely ducking in time as two beer caps flew over his head.

~~~***~~~***~~~
Brian rolled on his side, eyeing the still pouting blonde on his right.  “Tell me you’re not still upset about your mother.”  He sighed, not sure what else to do.  He had spent the last two and a half hours helping the teen forget about his parental issues, only to be greeted with a sulking face once the sweat and cum dried up on their bodies.
Justin’s only reply was a loud sigh.
Brian rolled his eyes, swinging his long legs off the bed and heading to the bathroom.  He was trying, but he never said he was a patient man.  Especially when there really wasn’t a problem to be upset about.  He had expected Justin to handle this situation a lot better than Michael had.  Brian winced at the memory of spending the night in jail.  Not something he wanted to repeat any time soon.  And he definitely did not want Justin in the slammer either.  Well, looked like he’d just have to suck it up and be the loving supportive boyfriend tonight.  He flushed the toilet and, picking up a wet towel to clean them both up, headed back into the bedroom of gloom; not something he’d ever imagined his bedroom would be called.
“Here,” he sat down on the edge of the bed, pushing Justin’s hands to the sides to clear way for the towel.  He tried to focus on the task at hand, not letting his eyes wander over to the blonde’s cock.  First he’d do the supportive boyfriend routine.  Then he’d get down to the fuck-your-problems-away routine.  He was used to being greeted by a well-fucked expression on Justin’s face, not a brooding one.
“You realize it was inevitable, right?”  He said, slowly moving the wet towel across Justin’s belly.  “Your mom’s pretty young and good looking.”
Justin’s eyes widened in amusement.
“For someone without a dick, I mean,” Brian added.  He knew he was on the right path when he heard the younger man chuckle.
Phase one of the plan accomplished.
 “I know,” Justin said quietly.
“And Molly’s hitting her teens now, busy with boys.  And you’re busy with…”  Brian moved the towel down Justin’s right thigh, slowly gliding it up and down, noticing Justin’s cock already beginning to swell.  “…other things.”
Phase two completed.
He dropped the towel on the floor, tracing his now free hand on the inside of the pale thigh of his young lover.  He looked up into the blue eyes, finding what he’d been looking for all night.  Lust and desire.  For him.  He leaned in, tracing the tip of his tongue along the jaw of his lover.  “She just got lonely,” he murmured in Justin’s ear, smiling at the soft moan escaping Justin’s lips.
“Brian.”
Phase three completed.
The next morning was business as usual.  Morning fuck.  Then shower.  Then morning fuck in the shower.  Then another shower.  Finally, they got out of the bathroom and got dressed, leaving enough time for a breakfast with the gang at the diner before each had to head to school and work.
“Are you ready yet?” Brian asked for the tenth time, waiting impatiently by the kitchen counter.  “I swear, you’re worse than I am and I never thought that was possible.”  He eyed the teen who finally stood fully dressed at the top of the stairs in the bedroom, wishing he had more time to take all those clothes off his lover.  But he had a long day ahead of him and so did Justin.
Justin rolled his eyes at the comment, walking down the stairs.  Picking up his jacket on the way, he walked past the exec, heading for the door.
Brian watched the teen stroll over to the door, his bubble butt wiggling from side to side.  He silently told his dick to behave before grabbing his jacket from one of the stools and noticing a white envelope on the counter.  “Here, I forgot to give you this yesterday,” he said, quickly picking up the envelope and following Justin to the door.
Justin eyed the object in Brian’s hand warily.  “What’s this?”
Brian handed the envelope to the teen before shutting and locking the door behind them.  “The tuition payment.”  He paid it every month instead of one lump sum, which was easier for him.
Having locked the door and set the alarm, the ad exec headed down the stairs, not giving much thought to the frown on his lover’s face.
~~~***~~~***~~~

Brian parked the Jeep across the street from the diner and turned to look at Justin who was quiet during the drive to the Liberty Avenue.  Which was a very rare occurrence.  Usually, Justin would either chatter away about a thousand different topics or they’d fight over what radio station to listen to, which Brian of course always won, since it WAS his Jeep.  Not this morning.  The sulking face from the night before had returned.

Brian sighed, having exhausted his resources on how to make his lover feel better.  He just hoped that the food would have the positive effect on the teen as it usually had a tendency to do.  They got out of the car and crossed the street, finding their way into the noisy diner.

Once inside, the two made their way through the crowd to the table occupied by Michael, Ben, Emmett, and Ted.  Brian slid in next to his best friend, while Justin grabbed a chair, putting it next to the table.

“How are you doing, baby?” Emmett asked as soon as Justin was settled in.

The artist shrugged.  “Ok,” he replied very unconvincingly, while staring down at the envelope still clutched in his hand.

“You must be slipping,” Ted said, turning to Brian, “If after all night of fucking your boyfriend still feels like shit.”

Being the mature adult, Brian stuck his tongue out at the other man.  The action didn’t accomplish much, but it did get Justin to smile.  Not for long, though, because to top the wonderful morning off, Jennifer strolled in, her arm around a tall guy.  Without even the wide-eyed look on Justin’s face, Brian knew who the man was.

“I was hoping I’d find you here,” Jennifer said, smiling at her son.  “Hello, everybody,” she turned to the table.  After the nods, waves, ‘hellos’, and curious glances at the man in a black coat standing next to her, she turned back to her son.  “Are you busy tonight?”

“You want me to stay with Molly?” Justin asked, frowning.

“No, actually, Paul wants to take us out for dinner.”

Before Justin could reply, Debbie showed up, loudly demanding to be introduced to the Jennifer’s new beau.  While everybody else was busy fawning over the new man in Jennifer’s life, Brian was busy watching Justin brood in the chair next to him.

“And that’s Brian,” he heard, quickly looking up.  Apparently, Jennifer was making rounds introducing the whole gang and it was his turn.

“Oh, yes, I’ve heard so much about you,” Paul replied, holding out his hand.

Brian briefly glanced at Jennifer.  “Oh, I’m sure,” he said with a phony smile as he shook the man’s hand.

“Would you like to join us for dinner tonight?” the doctor asked, surprising not only Brian, but the two Taylors as well.

Noticing out of the corner of his eye Justin’s ears perking up at the invitation, Brian swallowed hard.  Just what he DIDN’T need.  Ignoring the looks everybody else was giving him, he stared straight at the tall man at the table.  “Thanks.  But I have a late meeting today.”  He turned to Justin, letting the artist know that there wouldn’t be any discussion regarding this.  “VERY LATE meeting,” he repeated, seeing the hope die out in the crystal blue eyes.

“Well, we should get going.  We’ll see you tonight, sweetheart,” Jennifer said, once again turning her attention to her son.

Justin nodded in response.  He watched the couple say good-bye to everybody before leaving the diner.  When he saw the door close behind the two, he sighed noisily.  “God, could my life get any worse?”  Giving a top-notch drama princess performance, he slumped on the table, hiding his face in his hands.

~~~***~~~***~~~
Justin closed the door of his bedroom, flopping down on the bed with a loud sigh.  The dinner seemed to last forever with Paul trying to suck up to him and Molly and his mother making googly eyes at the doctor and giving the ‘behave yourself’ looks to Justin.  He still wasn’t sure which one of those looks annoyed him more.
There was a knock on the door and before he could answer, his mother’s blonde head peeked through it.  “Can I come in?”
He nodded, sitting up.
“You don’t like him,” Jennifer said, getting straight to the point.
Justin looked up at her in surprise.  He wished it was that simple.  The problem was that he did like Paul.  Well, he liked what he’d seen of him so far.  Which wasn’t much.  “I don’t know him well enough to like him or not like him,” he said, pulling his tie off.
“He’s a good man, Justin.”
“And you know that after what?  A week of going out with him?”  He stood up, taking his jacket off and draping it over the back of the chair.
“Three months.”
Justin’s eyes shot up at her.  “What?”
“I’ve known him for three months,” she said, avoiding looking at him.
He stared at her in disbelief.  She didn’t find the need to share something this important?  This was a major thing in their lives and he had no idea.  None.  “Thanks for telling me.  I mean, I’m only your son, right?  Why would I need to know?”  He turned away from her, choosing to look out the window into the darkness instead.
“Justin, I wanted to make sure first.  Before telling you and Molly.”
He took a deep breath, holding it in for the longest time as a million thoughts, questions, and reservations ran through his head.  “And you’re sure now?” he finally asked, turning around to look at his mother.
She smiled softly.  “I think I am.”
He nodded, his lips curving up.  “Ok.”
She took a few steps toward him, kissing him tenderly on the cheek before saying good night and leaving him alone in his room once again.  A few minutes later his cell phone rang.  Brian.
“Well, I see you’re alive and kicking.  What about the doc?  Do I need to start collecting bail money?”
Justin chuckled.  “Still alive and kicking.”
He could hear the other man snicker.  “How bad was it?”
Justin sighed, flopping back down on the bed.  “I survived.  Although, it would have been better if you were there.”
“Sorry, Sunshine, family dinners just aren’t my thing,” Brian replied.
“Mine either.”  He closed his eyes, listening to Brian’s voice, imagining that he was back in the loft.  “Today really sucked,” he admitted.  He felt so tired.
“It’s early.  There’s still time to remedy the situation.”
Justin inhaled noisily, considering for a moment the tempting offer.  “I can’t,” he said before he could change his mind.  “I have this thing I have to do early tomorrow morning.”
“School thing?”
He bit his lip, not sure what to say.  He hated lying to Brian.  But there was no other way.  “Yeah.”
He heard Brian sigh on the other end of the line.  “Well, I guess I’ll just have to find other means to entertain myself tonight.”
“Oh, I’m sure you’ll come up with something,” he said, half-teasingly.
“Ok, well, I guess I’ll go…look…for something,” Brian replied.
Justin snickered.  “Good luck.”
“Hey, are you alright?” Brian asked out of the blue.
Justin sighed tiredly.  That was another reason he didn’t want to see Brian tonight.  All these questions and concerns.  He didn’t want that.  Didn’t need that.  Not tonight.  “Yeah, fine,” he lied.
“Justin…”
Justin knew Brian didn’t believe him.  “Just tired, that’s all.”  It wasn’t a complete lie.
He heard Brian sigh again.  “Ok.  Get some sleep.”
“Ok.”
“Later.”
It made Justin smile, just like it always did.  Made him feel safe and warm inside.  “Later.”  He needed the feeling.  For what he was planning to do.  He needed all his strength to do it.
~~~***~~~***~~~

A part of him still couldn’t believe what he was about to do.  A voice inside his head was telling him…no…screaming at him to turn around and leave.  But having considered other options, he knew this was the only way to go.

A woman at the desk smiled widely at him.  “Justin, sweetie, I haven’t seen you in so long!” she exclaimed, rising from her chair and giving him a hug.

“Nice to see you too, Allison,” he replied, returning her smile.

“I’ll let him know you’re here,” the woman said, finally letting go of him and heading into the office at the end of the hall.

Justin took a deep breath, collapsing into one of the chairs.  He could feel his heart pounding in his ears as he stared down at the white envelope in his hands.

“Justin, he’ll see you now,” Allison said, holding the door open for him.

He swallowed hard.  This was it.  No turning back now.  He stood up, and taking one more deep breath, walked through the door.  He waited for the door to close behind him before turning to the other man sitting at the desk by the window.

“Hi, dad.”
