I live in New York (state and city) and I'm an analyst for the city pension systems, but my real love is writing fiction. I've been published in numerous small Literary magazines in the US and Canada and there's some work of mine on the web if you want to read it. It was writing that first brought me to #Scotland. I'd read an article in the NY Times about Scotland's literary renaissance, ordered the books from Blackwells, and was reading such literary lights as James Kelman, Irvine Welsh, Alan Warner, and Duncan McLean, when I came across words not in my vocabulary (or dictionary)!!!! So one bright April morning I bid farewell to #Writers and joined #Scotland (efnet) searching for illumination. And thanks to Pict and Talisker I got it.

Eventually, I made my way (as have so many before me) down to undernet #Scotland. I mean I find it hard to leave you guys even to go to sleep!

Anyway, at the risk (okay the certainty) that I'll leave someone out and be overcome with guilt, I want to mention my friends on both #Scotlands: Mike, Sue, Kym, Keith, Craig, Colin, Ian, Alison and Clare from Efnet and Philip, Michele, Gina, John, Rab, Richard, Peny, Jack and Janet on the undernet. And Shaun from both nets. And my wee daughter, Stacy in Glasgow and herbrother..that kow boy..boy kow...as well. Without you (& so many others)...I might have had to get a real life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well guys it wouldn't be #Scotland without my snogging partners: Bunnette and Whizz, the Scots both in and out of Scotland, the Australians, the English, the Americans and erm Hamish who made me write this!!!!!!!!!!!
