Tuesday, November 25, 2001: HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Please take a look at Your Chaffing Editor's gift to you.

Sunday, November 11, 2001: HAPPY FIFTH ANNIVERSARY! Top Ten Central still has an excuse to behave like a child because, frankly, it is only five.

Wednesday, October 31, 2001: Your Chaffing Editor will be taking yet another extended leave. As our long time visitors know, that just means updates will be at a "less to nonexistent" frequency. Meanwhile, please visit HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT IN REVIEW. Hopefully Sanney will catch up soon.

On an unrelated note, Top Ten Central urges all visitors to "take back the City" and visit New York City whenever possible. Downtown New York is open for business; your patronage will help the businesses from being victimized again. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Tuesday, October 9, 2001: For those around New York City, you can "take back" the city by joining SUBWAY CINEMA on Thursday, October 11 2001. They will be presenting special screenings of LIFELINE and ATTACK ON GAS STATION! @ Cinema Vilage. Sure, it's $9 per screening, but ticket sales will go to New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund.

Tuesday, October 2, 2001: Top Ten Central regretfully informs you that our host, Geocities, has implemented a data transfer limit. Once we go over the 3Gb/month limit, the site will be "turn off until the usage fell within the prescribed limit".
The Healing Ribbon. Click here to help with the World Trade Center disaster recovery. Tuesday, September 11, 2001: PLEASE JOIN US AND TAKE A STAND AGAINST FACELESS COWARDS.

Please contact The Red Cross about how you can help with relief efforts : 800-448-3543.
Please wear RED, WHITE, and BLUE in memory of the victims of the tragedy and let the world know that we will not stand for such senseless acts of cowardice.

Tuesday, August 7, 2001: Top Ten Central will be closed for a few weeks in August for some R & R (not to mention giving Sanney a chance to catch up -- he is less than a month behind). With a skeleton crew, updates will be kept to a minimum. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Thursday, June 22, 2001: Next Media has begun its pre-emptive strike as its site atnext.com has become a pay service for overseas users starting TODAY. Broken graphics? It's probably from @NEXT.

Monday, June 18, 2001: Next magazine has announced that its site atnext.com will become a pay service for overseas users starting July 1 2001. You readers should know what that means...no more free APPLE DAILY, ORIENTAL SUNDAY, and EASY FINDER.
Sunday, May 27, 2001: Please check out the review on the DVD of Bruce Lee's Way of the Dragon (Return of the Dragon)! The writer needs our help to convince BBC that Bruce Lee and Hong Kong films in general deserve the proper attention.
Also, Top Ten Central's brother site HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT IN REVIEW is running into a little trouble. Pay Sanney a visit and wish him well.
Sunday, APRIL 29, 2001: The 20th Hong Kong Film Award is officially over! Check out the official results below.
Saturday, APRIL 28, 2001: Top Ten Central has closed the Hong Kong Film Award polls. Check out who you have picked to win and compare with the official results later!
Saturday, APRIL 14, 2001: Top Ten Central has corrected the OTHER NOMINATIONS link on the Hong Kong Film Award Poll. Vote away!

Thursday, APRIL 5, 2001: HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT IN REVIEW has found a new host and is almost FULLY FUNCTIONAL! What are you doing HERE?

Wednesday, MARCH 14, 2001: What a difference a month makes. Where are the files? Most of the text files have gone HERE. Until Top Ten Central has sorted the recent issue that locked out the account, text files will be updated weekly at the above location. Top Ten Central apologizes for any inconvenience that the change might cause.

Tuesday, FEBRUARY 13, 2001: Top Ten Central is saddened by the news that our brother site HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT IN REVIEW has experienced difficulties with its host and now it needs your support (for more detail, please visit the site). Please do whatever you can. Your Chaffing Editor cannot stress enough the importance of the brother site and the absolutely wonderful job Sanney has done. Your Chaffing Editor can go on and on about all the positive points of keeping the site alive, but instead he will go directly to the most selfish one -- the site gives YOU, the reader, access to Hong Kong entertainment news without having to deal with someone who is completely mad. So please, PLEASE, contribute however you can. SAVE OUR SITE!

Saturday, JANUARY 20, 2001: Top Ten Central suddenly has turned into a holiday traffic control center. Since "Your Chaffing Editor is STILL NOT officially back yet.", any unfinished fluff from last year has been redirected to our brother site HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT IN REVIEW. Like a broken record, "it's a better site anyway."
Wednesday, JANUARY 10, 2001: Work on the site redesign has come to an complete haul. Meanwhile, please enjoy our "latest updates" -- please do not mistake them for airport arrival and departure times for airports in the Northeast during the holidays.
Sunday, DECEMBER 31, 2000: As Top Ten Central has suspended its redesign efforts to dig its way out of over 10 inches of snow, all of us here would like to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wednesday, DECEMBER 13, 2000: Your Chaffing Editor surprised everyone at Top Ten Central by sending in his Christmas gift EARLY -- REALLY OLD (SEPTEMBER) MAGAZINE REPORTS! Apparently, "Due to format changes on the source sites, creating the Daily and Weekly Fluff report has become an even more difficult task. Hence, Your Chaffing Editor has decided to clear out the old format articles before trying his luck on the new ones. Thank you very much for your patience. PS. Your Chaffing Editor is NOT officially back yet."
Monday, NOVEMBER 27, 2000: Top Ten Central has finally located Your Chaffing Editor! Click HERE for the latest on his whereabouts! [THANKS TO SANNEY FOR THE INFORMATION]
Monday, OCTOBER 2, 2000: As previously announced, Your Chaffing Editor is on leave. For more updated news, please visit HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT IN REVIEW.
Wednesday, AUGUST 2, 2000: Our brother site, HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT IN REVIEW, now has its own registered name! Congratulation! Please visit the newly restructured site and BEG Sanney to catch up soon so Your Chaffing Editor can shut this site down!
Oops! I did it again. You were supposed to hear that. Mental note : thinking in head means no clicky clicky with fingers on the keyboard.
Thursday, MAY 24, 2000: Rejoice! Ryan has corrected the issue with the Hong Kong Movie Database site. Now pay our brothers a visit and GO AWAY!
Wednesday, MAY 18, 2000: Recently Top Ten Central has been flooded with questions from readers about difficulties with accessing Hong Kong Movie Database and Hong Kong Entertainment News in Review. Top Ten Central has forwarded your concerns to the owner of the site who in turn has informed Your Chaffing Editor that the site is currently experiencing technical difficulties and asks everyone to stand by.
Friday, April 28, 2000: Why are magazine articles so wordy? They seem to go on go. Anyway, Your Chaffing Editor would like to apologize for the WAY lateness of the Weekly Fluff. Just to keep everyone's interest, apparently the word bust has replaced the word breast in Your Chaffing Editor's *ahem* "tasteful" translations. What a perv.
Wednesday, March 29, 2000: One of the readers has sent a few requests for photos via email and even snail mail from TOP TEN CENTRAL. Just in case anyone else is confused, IMAGES USED IN THIS WEBSITE ARE COURTESTY OF THEIR RESPECTIVE COPYRIGHT OWNERS! In other words, Top Ten Central does NOT own the Pictures so we CANNOT give anyone permission to use the photos. Sorry.
Wednesday, March 1, 2000: Uh-oh, show's over, kids. There is nothing to see here. Actually, Top Ten Central will have to go through a name change and restructuring. "WE WILL BE RIGHT BACK!" (Apparently Your Chaffing Editor has forgotten one of the rules in SCREAM?)

Thursday, February 24, 2000: Many readers have unrecoverd Your Chaffing Editor's evil plot to jump into the future. The first clue? The February 19 2000 link referred to September 19 2000 report! Thank you everyone for letting us know that Your Chaffing Editor goofed.
Tuesday, February 8, 2000: Fluff of the week is killing Your Chaffing Editor. He has divided it up by publication.
Wednesday, February 2, 2000: Our friends at COOLALA only had the Top Five this week. Since we are taking a few days off soon, just in case from all of us@hktopten, HAPPY YEAR OF THE DRAGON!
Friday, January 14, 2000: Your Chaffing Editor is DONE with 1999! HAPPY Y2K!
Friday, January 7, 2000: Your Chaffing Editor is SLOWLY returning. We know he is REALLY in trouble because he is actually avoiding his usual radio favorites like BSB, Britney and Christina. Does anyone have a quick fix for a crushed and shattered heart? Anyway, Top Ten Central is looking for a new home page look. Any suggestion is welcome. Get your juices flowing and send in your ideas!
Monday, December 27, 1999: HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Your Chaffing Editor is bombarded with personl problems that are sending him into an emotional roller coaster, a holiday tradition we here at Top Ten Central hope to be non-Y2K compliant. Anyway, he apologizes for accidentally erasing the text version for December 15, 1999 and has asked for some time off. However, he has promised that he will complete all of the work up to the 31st before "pulling a reverse Felicity" (Whatever that means). Just pretend Your Chaffing Editor is not Y2K compliant and needs a little work.
Thursday, December 16, 1999: Site update information has been moved to here
Friday, November 5, 1999: Errors pointed out by Laura and Oomay are corrected. Thank you for letting us know!
Wednesday, October 20, 1999: Your Chaffing Editor is taking a few days off (Something about burning the city of Atlanta, Georgia to the ground). There is no news of any worth anyway -- unless you give a crap about the press' speculations on Jackie Chan's affair and accustions of Dior Cheng Yi Kin and Gigi Leung Wing Kei.
Thursday, October 14, 1999: Apparent we had a bigger problem -- the ZOOM links to Oriental Daily photos between September 16 1999 to October 8 1999 were incorrect. They have since been fixed. Thank you all for writing.
Monday, October 11, 1999: The problem with the October 4 daily fluff page has been resolved. Thank you all for writing.
Tuesday, September 28, 1999: To reduce traffic to the links (Your Chaffing Editor is DEMANDING that YOU stop hitting the PICTURES links so he can get to APPLE DAILY!) and email messages about the broken graphic links (Your hit has taken down the linked site. Try making things worse by clicking on back then forward.), we have divided up the pictures page into daily sections. Enjoy! Also, Geocities has provided its homesteaders with a shortcut, which means you can reach us by going to http://www.geocities.com/hktopten. Thank you.
Friday, September 3, 1999: Amidst a delusional state of mind, Your Chaffing Editor somehow figured out how to correct the broken links on the August 11 1999.
Thursday, August 5, 1999: Chris from the Hong Kong Superstars has asked us to place these two banners here to promote two UK appearances. Just click on the banners for details! As usual, we at Top Ten Central have NOTHING to do with these events (disclaimer, blah blah blah)

Live on stage at the MAC Birmingham for the UK Premiere of "Beast Cops"!!!

Appearing at 2 shows in London, and 1 in Bradford for his beloved UK fans!!!

Wednesday, July 28, 1999: We here at Top Ten Central apologizes for the broken links for the July 14 1999 issue. Kudos to Mark for spotting the error and sending the fix. Apparently Your Chaffing Editor is preoccupied with training the interns to sound like Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi.
Wednesday, July 7, 1999: Try an easier address to get here -- http://welcome.to/hktopten. Look out for the "POP UP AD WINDOWS".
Tuesday, June 1, 1999: Your Chaffing Editor suffered a minor set back this weekend while trying to catch up -- the text version was somehow overwritten after the picture file was uploaded. In the midst of panic, Your Chaffing Editor uploaded the home page with the incorrect link. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Monday, May 10, 1999: Zero progress so far on the Fluff end. Our Fluff Editor is still under limited capacity and Your Chaffing Editor is busy with personal matter. Hopefully we will be back on schedule when things get better for one of them. Sorry.

Monday, May 3, 1999: Curses to whoever gave Our Fluff Editor's machine a virus! With all the Hong Kong Film Awards coverage, Your Chaffing Editor has regretfully informed us that he was NOT able to complete the "latest" (in every sense of the word) issue of the Top Ten. With his "right arm" chopped off, Your Chaffing Editor is wondering if anyone has a spared Kirin Arm.
Tuesday, April 20, 1999: Clean up at Top Ten Central for Earth Day. Our friends at Apple Daily ran into resource problems and out goes the pictures up to November 1998.
Thursday, April 15, 1999: Last week was a complete blur. However, Your Chaffing Editor did finish the Picture section for last week. It is still a mess though since he did it in a state of pseudo-consciousness.
Tuesday, April 6, 1999: After a wasted weekend of trying to catch up (along with the missing hour due to Daylight Savings), Your Chaffing Editor is STILL two weeks behind. Fortunately, the Easter Bunny and Our Humor Editor have brought forth good news -- Variety did not include a Hong Kong box office listing this week. Phew.
Thursday, April 1, 1999: Your Chaffing Editor has assured us that from today on all of the reports will be on time. Also, he has assured us that the site will remain online forever. The entire Top Ten Central was jumping for joy until the calendar fell off the wall and everyone realized what day it was.
Wednesday, March 31, 1999: Are you still here? After 3 weeks, Your Chaffing Editor REMAINS 2 weeks behind. We are going to keep wasting our breath until you get the point. Will you PLEASE give us some room to breathe? Considering the freshness of our breath we think that would be a splendid idea...
Wednesday, March 24, 1999: With Fluff continuing to mount in our office mailboxes, Your Chaffing Editor cannot take a step out of the office for his break! He is BEGGING all of you to visit THE HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT NEWS IN REVIEW SITE, now conveniently located at HKMDB!
Tuesday, March 16, 1999: Things are moving right along. Your Fluff Editor is on his way back and Your Chaffing Editor has resumed packing. Meanwhile, coding problem plagues us for a second week of FLUFF IN COLOR in a row. PLEASE HELP!
Wednesday, March 10, 1999: THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT MARY! La Laptopa is back but only in a semi-working status! Your Chaffing Editor knew that he should know about than to loan her out. Fluff is running WAY SLOW with OUR FLUFF EDITOR out and YCE watching MARY! over and over and over again.
Tuesday, March 2, 1999: ALL RIGHT ALREADY! With La Laptopa on loan and OUR FLUFF EDITOR on injury reserve this week, Top Ten Central is expecting major delays. VISIT his site (see below) and wish him well!
Monday, February 22, 1999: Since La Laptopa is taking a break, Top Ten Central will not have a new Top Ten this week. Meanwhile, PLEASE VISIT THE HONG KONG ENTERTAINMENT NEWS IN REVIEW SITE! Can you smell what Your Chaffing Editor is cooking?
Friday, February 5, 1999: Ryan has made a few suggestions regarding the Picture section of that site. Can you please do Your Chaffing Editor and check out the Picture section for January 20, 1999 and see if the loading time is any better? We owe Ryan a big one if it is......
Tuesday, February 2, 1999: Thank you for your timely response. Your Chaffing Editor has uploaded the Picture section for January 20,1999 again. See if it is any better now.
Monday, February 1, 1999: Your Chaffing Editor took your advice and added width and height tags to the picture section. Guess what? It didn't work like it should! Would anyone care to debug the code for a dedication?
Wednesday, January 20, 1999: Your Chaffing Editor would like to apologize for the recent delay due to various personal problems. Thank you for your patience and a BIG SORRY!
Wednesday, December 23, 1998: Your Chaffing Editor would like to apologize to Sanney for using materials from his mailing list without any advanced expressed written consent. However, even he has to agree that Sanney is doing a superb job with the translations. Take a look for yourself and see if you agree. GOOD JOB SANNEY!
Tuesday, December 15, 1998: Variety skipped the Hong Kong box office again!
Monday, December 7, 1998: Variety's lag is killing us! Screw it! Enjoy the pictures!
Monday, November 30, 1998: Top Ten Central apologizes for the broken link last week. Apparently, we are back, but Variety isn't as the Hong Kong Top Ten box office figures are missing from it for the second week in a row!
Friday, November 20, 1998: There will be no updates on the week of November 23. Top Ten Central will be closed as our entire staff will be relocated and given new identities as a part of the Turkey Protection Program.
Wednesday, November 11, 1998:HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE SITE! Your Chaffing Editor has decided to celebrate the occasion with yet another late edition! Sorry.

Wednesday, July 8, 1998: The Top Ten report for the week of June 24, 1998 is online, but it might take awhile before the pictures are done. Thank you for your patience.
Thursday, July 2, 1998: Our Chaffing Editor is having even more emotional problems after Mr. Beckham became a goat. While he is looking for Simeone's home address, the Top 10 reports will be delayed indefinitely. As you can see, Our Chaffing Editor loves the Girls equally. He just loves Melanie more equally than the others.
Tuesday, June 30, 1998: Our Chaffing Editor is struck like a love sick puppy after his SPICE SATURDAY. This week's Top 10 has been delayed indefinitely.
Friday, June 19, 1998: New email address. Top Ten Central can now be contacted at hktopten@geocities.com or hktopten@hotmail.com.
