Wednesday, MAY 18, 2000: Recently Top Ten Central has been flooded with questions
from readers about difficulties with accessing Hong Kong Movie Database and Hong Kong Entertainment News in Review. Top Ten Central has forwarded your concerns to the owner of
the site who in turn has informed Your Chaffing Editor that the site is currently
experiencing technical difficulties and asks everyone to stand by.

Editor is bombarded with personl problems that are sending him into an emotional roller
coaster, a holiday tradition we here at Top Ten Central hope to be non-Y2K compliant. Anyway,
he apologizes for accidentally erasing the text version for December 15, 1999 and has asked for
some time off. However, he has promised that he will complete all of the work up to the 31st
before "pulling a reverse Felicity" (Whatever that means). Just pretend Your Chaffing Editor is

The LOS ANGELES COMIC BOOK AND SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION will have a
Special Screening of the Hong Kong Action/Fantasy movie, THE
STORMRIDERS, on SUNDAY, MAY 16.
THE STORMRIDERS stars Aaron Kwok, Ekin Cheng, and Sonny Chiba, and it
will screen in the 35MM film format at 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m. 4:00 p.m.
The Convention has booked the USC Norris Theater so everyone could see
THE STORMRIDERS on a large motion picture screen. The movie will be
shown complete and uncut, with English sub-titles.
The Convention is located at the SHRINE AUDITORIUM EXPO CENTER-700 West
32nd street in Los Angeles. The Convention also features a large
Dealers Room Full of Old and New Comic Books for sale, as well as Star
Wars and Star Trek Toys, X-Files merchandise, Pokemon Toys, Action
Figures, Movie Memorabilia, Trading Cards and much more.
The Convention admission is only five dollars, and includes a free
screening of THE STORMRIDERS. Tickets will be given away at the Shrine
Auditorium Expo Center, and the screening will take place across the
street. Show Hours for the convention are 10:00 a.m.- 5:00p.m. For

all the Hong Kong Film Awards coverage, Your Chaffing Editor has regretfully informed us that
he was NOT able to complete the "latest" (in every sense of the word) issue of the Top Ten.
