SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE AND UNIVERSAL QI
- the definite angle -

The Wu Xing 'One Qi' circuit

Universal Qi is vast and it creates the seasons, as it created our very planet.

However, seasons start occurring only after the creation of our planet.

Before seasons come into consideration, planet earth’s orbit around the sun should be taken into account and be given to play a much more vital role. Between the sun and the earth we find an endless game of magnetism and it is this magnetism and other astronomical realities, that had inspired the ancient masters to formulate the Five Transformations.

Because in this stage human Qi and our understanding is not yet involved, the outer circuit will always include the inner most ring.
The same cannot be necessarily said for the smallest circuit.

In other words, when we study the earth orbit around the sun, sun physics and geophysics, we automatically bounce upon seasons and climate. It is not necessarily true if we put it the other way around.
It is not certain at all, when we focus on seasonal appearances, that we have an understanding of astronomical realities behind Feng Shui, Nine Star Ki and Four Pillars of Destiny.

Provided we agree that earth magnetic energy is the same for both hemispheres, we need to abandon the idea that there is a difference in principles, like how to find a Flying Star chart.
It is only fortunate that we can find analogy between the cosmos and
nature, it did not mean we should focus on nature first by then
dismissing astronomical findings in Chinese metaphysics.

I feel that Feng Shui practitioners who base their knowledge and believes in more popular branches of thought, will be dying out shortly. A new breed of Feng Shui practitioners would need to have a definite knowledge of astronomy related subjects and be well versed in sun physics and geomagnetism.

I base this on two observations, at least.
-
I have noticed more and more of today’s practitioners already engaging themselves in more scientifically based studies.
-  I see less and less clients and students who are interested in popular systems and believes. It is only a matter of time or clients and students will not accept these approaches any longer.

If you are still not comfortable with the idea that we should not find differences for the Flying Star charts for the Northern and Southern hemisphere, try to reflect on this Luo Shu and ask yourself the question:

What do the Stars represent here, temperature or other seasonal considerations or Universal magnetic or celestial energies.

Can we say we will find the sun and a warmer temperature in the center of this house, because it has 9 Fire in the center?

Are the commonly used attributes to show the properties of the Stars just meant to be analogies, or are their attributes to be taken as literal explanations.

In other words, is 8 just an analogy for mountain, 3 just and analogy for trees and 4 just an analogy for young plants, or do we really expect to find a mountain, a tree and young plants in the 8-4-3 Palace of this house.

Should we agree that these universal energies are the same around the globe, or should we accept that for this house we will find 1-2-5 in the South Palace on the Northern hemisphere, but we find the same Stars in the North Palace on the Southern hemisphere.

Please reflect on this.
