HOW TO CHART A FOUR PILLARS STRUCTURE:
new method

Inner and outer ring

Each Earthly Branch – or more popularily each Chinese animal sign – contains one or more hidden elements and these are shown directly beneath the actual Four Pillars.

These hidden elements are Heavenly Stems.
They show what is contained in an Earthly Branch.

Our proposed system of charting shows the major element contained in a Branch to the outside of the circle with the five star.
It is to show that, this element may be contained in a Branch, but it still plays a role of importance in a life.

If a Branch contains two elements, the second element goes to the inner ring.
If a Branch contains three elements, both second and third elements go to the inner ring.

Still very much influencial on a life, it is to show that Heavenly Stems and major elements contained in the Branches prevail.

The following diagram – much in line with the teachings of master Joseph Yu – clearly shows that the second Stem contained in a Branch but without a third Stem, still stores more power than the second Stem contained in a Branch that has a third Stem.

Heavenly Stems shown in the upper segments do not share their strength and will therefore represent 100% strength.

In the example of a Branch containing just one element, this element does not share its power and is allocated 100%.

In the example of a Branch containing two elements, the first element is allocated 70% strength, the second Stem would still store 30%.

In the example of a Branch containing three elements, the first element is allocated 60% strength, both second and third Stems store 20%.

As you can see, we added an extra ring to the circle with the five elements. This way we can discriminate between Heavenly Stems (dots) and major and minor Stems contained in Earthly Branches (squares).
