Symbols used

Let us first look at the symbols and terminology used here.

     and
Showing yang Day Master or yin Day Master for a male.

  and
Showing yang Day Master or yin Day Master for a female.

m and l
Show yin l or yang m force in Heavenly Stems.

Yang is Heaven, odd and circular, much like the dial used in the Chinese compass.

Used here to show that Heavenly Stems originated in the upper segments of the pillars.

c and g
Show yin g or yang c force and used here to show what is contained in Earthly Branches.
Yin is Earth, even and square, much like the square base of the Chinese compass.
Earthly Branches in the lower segments of the pillars contain up to three Heavenly Stems, also known as hidden elements. Squares are used to show that the element originated from a Branch.

c and g
Show yin or yang month of birth when projected on a point of the five star within the circle in relation with the season of birth. February and Tiger month will be taken to the Wood leg on the five star and shown as c , March and Rabbit month will be taken to the Wood leg on the five star and shown as g.

P
Used to show that the person was born in an Earth month, along with the above given format to show yin or yang month of birth. Born in April and Dragon would show a c indication on the Wood leg on the five star and Pon the Earth leg on the five star.

ñ and ò
Show if element is becoming to the Day Master or unbecoming.
For instance, Fire is the money or wealth sign to a Water Daymaster.
For a Yang Water Daymaster Yin Fire is ñ becoming wealth, Yang Fire is ò unbecoming wealth.
