Understanding past experiences

If your Number is 1,4,7        refer to the first block of squares.
If your Number is 3,6,9        refer to the second block of squares.
If your Number is 2,5,8        refer to the third block of squares.

Your Number may appear on the Arrow only twice in some blocks, or three times in other blocks.

You can focus on months in which you find your Number on the Arrow, but Qi will have much deeper impact on your life when your Number is found on the Arrow for a year.

Following this – not focussing away from other Luo Shu dynamics that may just as well produce significant effects -, here are the periods in which you may anticipate on some of the more significant changes in your destiny.

You are 1,4 or 7 –     focus on 1,4 and 7 months of 1,4 and 7 years.
You are 2,5 or 8 –     focus on 2,5 or 8 months of 2,5 or 8 years.
You are 3,6 or 9 –     focus on 3,6 or 9 months of 3,6 or 9 years.

These are times when you find your Number in the 8 Earth House, the 2 Earth House or the center of the Luo Shu, but to note the Arrow dynamic, we will ask you to focus on times when you find your Number in the 8 Earth and 2 Earth House.

As an example of the influence that months can have, and during 2,5 and 8 years (second block), an 8 Earth person will be in the Southwest (2 Earth House) twice, in the Northeast (8 Earth House) once and – a little outside the scope of this chapter, but nevertheless something we need to consider also – opposite 5 Earth twice, projected over a period of twelve months.

This technique can be used to understand past experiences and events, but it allows us great opportunities in deciding on our future do’s and do not’s.

In understanding this Arrow technique we can now not just draw the Luo Shu of any particular event, e.g. a person being fired, but we can also use the Arrow to understand what events will have most likely led up to this outcome.
