Navigating the Lower Saint Lawrence in the 19th Century.
 
 
    The hull of the ship Ephron, George Snook, Master, from Liverpool, 434 tons per register, as she now lies or did lay stranded on White Island reef, together with her lower masts, some standing rigging, 1 cable, a piece of do., 2 anchors, &c. Also, at same time and place will be sold such articles as have been saved from her and brought up, among which are a new patent cable 13¼ inches, an anchor, sails, rigging and other materials.
    Also 50 barrels choice Montreal apples.

      Ship Cato, John Wilder, reports a schooner from Liverpool was wrecked on the 23rd instant on White Island. Passed a ship drifting down on the 21st instant below Bic.

      October 25. Arrived, ship Cato, John Wilder, from Hull, 49 days passage, addressed to Messrs. Bruce and Anderson; cargo, goods. A schooner from Liverpool was wrecked on the 23rd instant on White Island. Passed a ship drifting down on the 21st instant, below Bic.

      November 3. Arrived ship Select, Ensor, ten weeks from London, addressed to B.P. Wagner, Esquire, in ballast. Intelligence; saw a large ship on shore at Crane Island.
    November 4. Arrived brig Glasgow, Ore, 56 days from Port Glasgow, addressed to Messrs. Wilson and Robertson, in ballast. Intelligence: saw a frigate on shore at Portneuf on the 30th ultimo.
    November 7. Arrived brig John, Denny, from Trinity, Newfoundland, sailed 19th October, addressed to Messrs. J. Coltman and Co. in ballast. Intelligence: saw a frigate at the Brandy Pots on the 30th ultimo, and saw a schooner on shore at White Island
