Camp 1708 Lt. Commander Ron Fox reviewing the history of the 13th Alabama Infantry, Company A, during the War between the States. This was the company Samuel Suratt Sellers served in. Ron stated, "the company was almost completely decimated by the end of 1864. The few men remaining were assimilated into other units, and a few were ultimately present at Appomattox in April 1865. If ever there was a group of men who understood 'sacrifice to duty', this unit surely meets that standard." |
