Activities & Programs Overview

Events are free to all.  Events are on topics of interest, including

  • what it's like to be a 2G

  • how to pass the legacy onto our children

  • events honoring the memory
  • caring for our parents.

Some events we have had in the past include:
  • Speaker's Bureau Workshop Training.  Folks came from all over including out of town, and more are planned in this series.  For reference information which came out of this program, please see our Speaker's Bureau page.
  • Yom Hashoah & Kristallnacht, with the Survivor's group.
  • Doing genealogy research at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum with a presentation and assistance from staff on using the museum's resources.
  • Mr. John Loftus, a former prosecutor with the US Justice Department's Nazi hunting unit and author of "The Secret War Against the Jews".
  • Mr. Peter Masters and his poignant and humorous storytelling of his experiences as a Jewish soldier serving during the war.
  • Mr. Edwin Black's inside scoop of IBM's role in his best-selling book "IBM and the Holocaust".
  • Ms. Linda Klein's presentation from the Red Cross about the war victims tracing service which as been active for 10 years and support for survivors such as in the reparations process.

Speaker's Bureau
We recently completed a Speaker's Training Workshop for 2 & 3Gs who are interested in developing their speaking skills especially about the Shoah.  Further information, and information presented at the Workshop, as well as The Generation After's involvement in speaking engagements is available on our Speaker's Bureau page.

Third Generation Reflections
For our 2006 membership brunch we had a panel of five young adults who had revisited Europe in a variety of ways... alone, with family, with a several different groups. They were wonderful and their stories were compelling. Please take a look at their presentations at our Third Generation Reflections page.
