The risks of not taking some steps to provide security for you and your computer are enormous! Some unwanted person can access your computer via the internet, and your files can be seen, or a virus planted, or sensitive files altered. Not to mention that ANYONE who has physical access to your computer, no matter who or how, would have the ability to view and/or alter data you have stored on your hard drive.
We have amassed hundreds of encryption and security related downloads and links and listed them in the following pages in this section of our site. Some are freeware, some are shareware, and some are commercial programs. All of them have the potential of making your computer and the data (images, programs, logs, etc,) more secure. By so doing, that is, using one or more of these programs, you can control who has access to the data on your computer, and control over who can enter your computer. We cannot express strongly enough how important Personal PC Security is and that is the reasoning for providing you with this extensive list of links.
