There are 2 types of inlet manifold on the silvertop - one which resembles a teardrop shape fitted to facelift (93.6 on) AE101s, the other more like an oval with a cutout extending from the top of each port fitted to early (up to 93.5) AE101s. The teardrop shape far outflows the oval. The blacktop has a different manifold again (although still teardrop shaped) with the throttle-body or idle control vacuum in the face of the manifold. The idle control vacuum is tapped to the bottom of the inlet manifold with an external collector on all silvertops.

This is a manifold from a blacktop, note the idle control / throttle body balance vacuum in the face of the manifold.
