'Fruits of the Figure Exhibition 2004

a part of the

Fruits of the Hawkesbury Festival

The general feeling was that the 2004 fruits of the Figure exhibition in Richmond was bigger and better than ever. The Maximum Fitness Gym once again proved to be a popular and appropriate setting for the show which was well attended.
Victoria Harbutt, the curator of the Penrith Regional Gallery, officially opened the exhibition, and in her speech stated that she was trained in ballet, and that classical training can help to understand and appreciate the arts, and also how refreshing it was to see normal bodies depicted and not the tv. stereotypes!

This year a classical guitarist added to the ambience of the opening night

This is a pictorial display of some of the exhibition this year by artists, Catherine Bargwanna, Carolyn Clarke,Sue Grocholsky, Maggie Kable, Jennifer Lloyd, Robert Marriage,Margaret Mackisack, Diedre Morrison, Joy Paton, Malcolm Robertson, Elizabeth Roet, Jo Stellino, Laurie Wood
