so here ya are.
First of all, a tip o' the hat to the makers of my own axe, be sure to visit them, if
ya haven't been there already. And yes, you can click it.No, this ain't my particular axe, but ain't it purty?

I myself play a Jackson Dinky SS. It's not the most extravagant, but it gets the job done.
And here's to the guys at![]()
Just got my AX2, and man o man, does it KICK!
The AX2 section of FretzWorld is now ONLINE.
Check 'em out!![]()
And now, a wee bit o' history:
CLICK HERE to view a recently unearthed rare photo of Fretz as a wee bairn!! Four years old!!
Ok, this is my story, as nutshelled as I can make it.
My name? Well, it's Rob. But you know that, cuz you been to my band's page, right?
I've been playing now for going on 20 years. Guess what my first entire song was?
WRONG! Not Stairway. It was Paranoid, by Ozzy, Tony, and the rest of the nutz in Black Sabbath.
I started out with a Mann Les Paul copy. Traded a horse and a Trumpet for it and a Roland Cube 60.
Anybody remember those orange monstrosities? I thought it rocked at the time.
I sold that rig to a guy who couldn't play Smoke on the Water if you beat him on the head with a Deep Purple baseball bat.
Bought a 66 Gibson SG, and plugged that into an ancient Peavey Musician head with a Traynor 215 bass cabinet.
That was my Angus Young phase. It was also the year me and my jam-bud got the entire Rush 2112 album down-pat.
A few years later, I joined up with The Parlby Creek Band. I was 20. The bass player was in his 30's, the drummer too.
We went for a couple good years till the drummer quit cuz he had his own biz and didn't have the time for the band anymore.
With our new drummer, we got a new name. Called ourselves Contraband, till a Metal group from the states
came out with a hit song and had the same moniker. Not to be accused of riding someone else's wave,
we dropped Contraband and changed the name to Hattrick, which till recently, we were known.
It was during the Hattrick stint that I went thru my SG into a Schecter strat style that looked real nice,
but that dished-in fingerboard just wouldn't let me do the nasty.
I traded it in on my Jackson.
Things got more and more into country music, so my eyes started to wander.
I met Bill when he came into my signshop in a rush for a banner for his group. We got to talking music,
and soon after, Bill quit his group for reasons I won't go into and called me up.
We got to jammin' and before we knew it, we had a groove going. A few minor personnel changes, and voila!
King of Klubs was born.
Now all is right with the world, CUZ I GOT MY AX2 FROM LINE6!
I now have a sound clip on this site. You gotta have RealAudio to hear it, though. The clip is right here.
If you're an MP3 listener, I have one at webriffs. It's called talkin2.MP3,and it's under "Elwood Pleebus" in the List of Contributors. The link to Webriffs is at the bottom of this page.
IMPORTANT! Make sure you click the file called talkin2.mp3, and not talkin.mp3, it took me a few tries to sort it all out.
But, enough about me. You came here lookin' for links you can use, right? Well, here ya go.
Keep checkin'. There will be more as I find 'em. E-mail me if you have any suggestions.
First off, I highly recommend you click the banner below and check out my friend Danny's site. This guy plays like no human I've ever heard, and his CD is completely self produced, right down to the coffee. Yup. Danny made the coffee too. The entire CD is all him, bass, drums, vocals, guitar, keys, everything. WELL WORTH YOUR TIME.
The Guitarist's Network
Man, I like this place. Met some cool guys from all over in the guitar
forum section. Got a question about gear? Hot Rodding?
Doesn't matter if you're a veteran or someone who just sucked into
his/her first Samick, no question is too stupid.
THIS is a place you GOTTA check out. Good buddy of mine, does some of the most beautiful custom guitar work you'll find anywhere. And reasonable too!
Carvin's Homepage
Now here is a good spot for those of you who would rather buy from
a factory than a music store. Carvin is premium stuff. A great site.
Dale's Repair Shop
This guy is a good friend of mine, and a repair/hotrodding/modification wizard. Amps & axes covered here. Highly Recommended.
Desktop
Guitarist
I only downloaded this recently. Looks like a cool little program.
You're supposed to be able to generate tab, create midi, stuff like that.
Franjo's Page
This is another guitarist I've met online. Pop over to visit. Tell him Fretz sent ya.
AZ's Page
Another fellow guitarist I met online. This guy has all kinds of sound clips using Line 6 gear for amplification. Well worth checking out. He's got a wicked band happening there, too.
CrimZin
This is a website to an upstate NewYork/Pennsylvania band called CrimZin. An interesting up & comer.
Pics
I've found some ancient pics of me and my old gear. Promise not to
laugh.
Web Riffs
This is way, way, cool. You can upload your best licks for all to hear.
