King of Klubs ceased operations on or about November or so of 2000.

Bill, our drummer, quit for personal reasons.

We tried a new line up with a new drummer, Steve, and changed the name to Blackfire.

Soon after, our singer Karen underwent some sort of personality metamorphosis which rendered her unfit to work with, so I made the call and quit the band. This basically caused the entire group to collapse, and Karen has since started a very mediocre group called 'Fourplay'.

Now, I am not normally one to criticize the efforts of other musicians, but I have to point out that this fourplay band is really not very good. I have had occasion to hear them live and I have to say, it was a complete waste of my time. They do have a good guitarist and a more than competent bass player, and I couldnt help but feel for these guys as I watched them play. Ah well, there but for the grace of God go I.

Myself, I am still in the formative stages of starting my own new group. This time around, I am taking the time necessary to ensure that we have stable, competent members.

The name of the group is so far unpublished, but has been registered in the band name registry online.
