1999 Review

In 1999:

• Bernadette graduated. The page will be along Real Soon Now.
• Roni got married. The page will be along Real Soon Now.
• We got two kittens, Abercrombie and Fitch. Fitch died, and we replaced him with NuFitch.
• Rich got Grave's disease and was ill from July to November.
• I became a CASA. This has kept me plenty busy.
• We went to Mendocino, Point Reyes, and the Hornet.
• We saw the Endeavor here and the Tall Ships in San Francisco.
• We helped with Railfair99 and went to Seybold.
• We saw Neil Gaiman and Aaron McGruder.
• I won $250 in Reno and later an Abracadata prize (which I haven't yet played with.)
• We attended 11 baseball games and said goodbye(sniff!) to Candlestick Park.
• Vince went to Purdue, Gonzaga went to the Elite 8, Bernadette and Vince got engaged.
• I read 134 books.
• I saw 64 movies, and many plays again.
• I did the Bay to Breakers again, and walked in the first wet Bloomsday run, too.
• I had 9044 visitors to my home page (1859 more than last year, though a lot of those are myself) and 6450 (1100 more than 98) to my journal page. There are 7M more than last year, 24.4M in all. I've begun removing pictures from the over-year-old archives to give me a little room.
