Rich got up at the crack of dawn to drink some awful liquid for his CAT scan. I was planning to walk the dog while he was gone, but it didn't take that long, so I was leaving when he got back. Sailor and I walked to look at ducks, but saw no ducks or geese. I did admire a lot of Hallowe'en decorations. It was about 3.5 miles.
Then it was time to take Fitch to the vet. He's still sick, though better. She taught me how to feel his neck glands. There are giardia cysts in his stool, but this is probably not causing the illness, probably normal. 6 pounds 8 ounces. He's getting to be huge.
Rich says while we were gone Crombie turned up on the porch, asking to be let in. Darn, I was hoping they wouldn't find the connection between the front and the back for a while. He opened the door and Sailor bounded out, and he yelled at the dog so the cat streaked away and came in the back door.
I had a call from Sam's care provider and Sam was "de-spended" (the child's word) from school for fighting with another child and yelling at the substitute teacher on Friday. Oops. I thought about going to the house to tutor and decided that would be a reward for bad behavior, so I was off the hook.
Fetched my Sunday New York Times and have done pretty well with the puzzle. I read a review of this book and it sounds fascinating. Kirkus appears to be really really tired of all the Everest books! I started a wish list at Amazon.com, too. What fun.
The doctor called Rich twice, to set up a colonoscopy, as there's something to look at way high. The second time he said that if anyone said "surgery" (ack!) Rich was to make sure they knew about the thyroid problem. Heaven forfend they should read a chart! No, I'm glad his primary care physician is looking out for him. Argh.
Hey hey Boston! Ceej and Janet should be thrilled.
