I've released (but they're so LITTLE! How will they make it on their own??) 6 froglets, and had 13 dead so far. This is a terrible ratio, but I keep reminding myself that it would have been 100% dead if we hadn't brought them home. Roni and our neighbor have had some successes, too, so there's actually a better result, but I can only count the gazillions we still have.
After a weekend of not being really serious about the proofing, I did 53 pages today: I'll slip again, though, because of our Reno trip.
ROFL!! "SOME OBAMA FANS ARE CROWING that they caught McCain without a flag pin. Perhaps he should oblige them by wearing one of these." Follow the links.
Just Ask Don Surber:
Question: Does Al Gore finally understand what causes Earth to warm and cool?Answer: I thought so when I read the headline: “Al Gore talks to The Sun.” But it turned out The Sun referred to was a newspaper in London by that name. Gore continues to live under the delusion that carbon dioxide alone is responsible for the Earth’s temperature. Be kind. He’s a divinity school dropout, a law school dropout and a laughingstock in his chosen trade of politics.

Brain damage from bypass surgery? It almost sounds like a joke. Tom Sullivan was asking on his radio show "what's wrong with Mr. Bill?" and I emailed him that link. He quoted from it 15 minutes later, which stunned me: maybe he got it from somewhere else. Walter Shapiro says: "In Pennsylvania, in particular, Clinton has been exiled to places like Moon Township, Connelsville and Somerset, part of his Friday can-you-find-it-on-the-map itinerary."
Moon Township. Heh. (That's where the inlaws live.)

Jerry Pournelle on creation and evolution:
All I am saying is that both "sides" miss the point: we should be humble about ourselves and our place in the universe. We cannot *know* if a Creator exists. We can only *believe* if one exists, or does not. And we should definitely be humble about our own tools to probe the universe---they are sparse and primitive.
Sad. Though it wasn't Britain as a whole, it was Manchester, I think it's safe to say the camel's nose and front quarters are already in the tent.
