We bit the bullet and attempted to take Teddy to church. I had books, and a couple of quiet trucks (except Mater turns out to make noise) and milk and his blankie, so we were able to distract him till the sermon was finished. At which point he was determined to go out to the aisle, and Rich finally took him out. Meanwhile, Alex got to go to children's dismissal ("What did you do?" "I forget") and was only moderately wiggly. Look, I said, they're taking that up to the altar so it will be changed into Jesus. Later, it's Jesus now. "I didn't see it!" Rich and Teddy were back for the Lord's prayer and the handshake of peace. "First time in Church, can you tell?" I asked the people who sat behind us, highly amused by our antics. I didn't sit in front of them, they sat behind us, so I figure they knew what they were in for.

Alex was pretty good, so we stopped for doughnuts. Powdered sugar ones. This was exciting and new and different.

We biked over to the park. I pushed Teddy on his trike. He mostly wanted to ride, she was playing, but when I started home with him, she cried, didn't want me there first. When we got back, all was clear, she wanted to be the one to push the button in Mommy's car that opens the garage door. If she would have only TOLD us that, it could have been arranged.

We're watching far too much TV, but she and I played the game I brought her, and they both played quietly for awhile. I noted that Teddy's toes are growing crooked: probably too-tight socks and/or shoes. I discussed that with Roni.

One more full day!
