April 14: 62 is not 27!

If anybody ever could "write beautifully about a broomstick" he could: though perhaps it is a pity that he so often did.---George Saintsbury about John Ruskin. Heh.

Look in the dictionary under "prattle" and there's a recording of Alex. She's not exactly labor-intensive, but she's high-maintenance. She has an opinion about everything and is not reluctant to share it. She wears me out. She reminds me a lot of Roni (and I suppose I, too, was like this at 5) but 62 is not 27! Heck, it's not even 46, when I was teaching homeless kindergarten kids. That sure kept me fit, and I've been vegging out.

We thought there was gymnastics and there wasn't. It was rainy and cold, so no outdoor play. I got the full benefit of the prattling.

Jules Crittenden:

Anyway, the real news that just seems to have a hard time breaking through is, we can win, we are winning, and if they don’t pull the plug, we will win.
