OMG, Willow!
14.01.03 Again I'm here with much shame having made no updates for nearly five weeks, but I plead in extenuation the whole moving/transitional/Christmas thingy. (I know, next time it really won't wash.) I beg your indulgence and only hope Willow's recovery hasn't suffered because of my negligence.
Speaking of Willow ... that ... that ... Kennedy woman! What a flooze!!! Throwing herself at our Will like that, making her all flustery-non-verbal-mess-girl! There's someone needing a smack and just for a change it's not our girl. Run, run Willow, run like the wind, that little fem-butch dykelette has you in her sights and won't be happy until it's all sweat, saliva and tangled tresses; until she's got you under her power like the tawdry plaything of a diminutive dominatrix in an x-rated manga. Mark my words, there be trouble brewing between those pert breasts, firm thighs and cheeky buttocks ... No! ... wait ... OMG ... I'm turning into a fan fic writer. Oh the humanity!!! *Beatie smacks herself* I needed that.
Again I promise I'll be catching up over the next few days, and by the end of the week you should at very least see some new caps up. If I'm really extending myself you might have a new wallpaper by Sunday. I have something brewing in my brain I think I'm going to have to let out soon.
Once again, sorry for the laxity, but I think I've nearly finished installing shelving and can soon return to my usual routine of Willow watchfulness.
With all protective Willow love ... *sniff*
12.08.02 There is some mammoth news for Willow Interventionists; we now have our very own domain! Try out www.willow-intervention.com and see what happens! It seemed an appropriate way to celebrate our first birthday. Owing to continued moving chaos the new domain hasn't been made entirely ready yet, so if you're signing up please do it here rather than over at the new domain; it would be terrible to lose anyone in the moving process - OMG yes! WI is moving just like me. *sniff* Life is so strange.
Our cause has been greatly aided by Samantha over at Slayer Source by the kind award of Site of the Month.
We are greatly humbled by the bestowal of such an honour and take heart in the fact it is, as you are all by now aware, all for Willow. *sniff* ...
11.24.02 Finally after a full month of no proper updates Willow Intervention is back on track, and just in time for the celebration of our first birthday. Happy Birthday Willow Interventionists. In that time we have been through a great deal with our Will. She has taken us nearly to hell and back, and you dedicated members have clung faithfully to your Willow love throughout the whole ordeal. It's not about winning, it's about being there for our Will and you all have been. Whether we really helped her in her darkest moments we will never know, but what we do know is, this is a place full of Willow love, and that couldn't hurt.
Thank you, thank you all for your contribution to this most worthy cause. Whatever is to come, wherever we may find ourselves in the years to come, we will always be able to say "We were there for Willow when ..." *sob*
With abundant Willow love and gratitude ... *snivel*
11.16.02 Oh the shame *sob* ... My profoundest apologies to all Willow Interventionists. I know there are no excuses for such neglect ... however, we have been looking for a new home. We have found our new nest and there remains only the packing of our life into boxes and the transportation of said life to the new location. This weekend we are taking a short break in the countryside, just like Willow's healing time in Bath, to gather together our resources for the trials ahead - and celebrate our anniversary. Upon our return I will make preparations for the celebration of Willow Intervention's first birthday on November 25 and put this house in order: update the caps; finally sign up the ten patient members who've been waiting to be welcomed, and throw some party streamers about. That is my word and my pledge.
All for Willow - apart from the moving house and celebrating a joyous life with my partner - always ... *sniff*
10.22.02 I'm sorry, I know, late this week. It took time to get over Willow finally facing ... *sob* ... Tara ... *sniff*. Life is so cruel.
Again the Willow love pours in with seven more new Willow Interventionists. I haven't got the words to properly welcome you all yet, it's all too ... *wimper* ... overwhelming. I will welcome you all and enter you properly in the members list when this ... *pang* ... eases.
Sometimes it's just so hard to find the will, the strength ... meaning enough to continue on through this grindingly, perversely, trivially tragic existence. The world's insane ... and I'm too old for angsty blogging. Pardon me.
Oh Willow ...
10.14.02 Yay!!! Our Willow has returned. She appears to forge ahead in her recovery, and has made great progress in the control of her now fully amalgamated magical energies. She also enjoyed some wonderful moments with Anya that suggest a deepening appreciation of one another. No disrespect to Tara's memory intended, but that's a side of group life the Scoobies haven't ever explored; the strangely incestuous nature of relationships - not taking into consideration Anya's drunken indiscretion with Spike and the historical indiscretion between Willow and Xander. I hasten to add though that Anya seems to have a fondness for - pardon me - the penis that would rule out any physical exploration of this new found empathy between our girl and the Vengence Demon. Still, life has a tendency to take us to all manner of unexpected places when we are least expecting it, Willow's addiction *sob* a case in point.
With all protective Willow love ...
10.06.02 This has been a very big week for Willow Intervention; these Sad Willow Days have led an unprecedented number of new members to our door, seven supporters in a single week. No fair weather friends here, just oodles of Willow love. That chain of forget-me-nots isn't just for decoration you know, it's a symbol of Willow Interventionists constancy and devotion even in these dark days.
Be ready with all that forgivness, friends; she's coming home ... *sob* ... Our Willow is coming home ... *snivel*
09.29.02 "I just want to be Willow" ... *WAAAH* ... I'm sorry, I'm composed again now. We're all here for you Willow, we really are.
Willow Interventionists, our Willow has clearly been making great progress over these months of exile in cold English places. Her remorse and great desire to atone for her actions is most evident. She's a sadder and wiser Willow, but we knew it could be no other way. Our Willow has a great moral compass, and despite getting lost when the great magnet of grief led her so far astray, we knew she'd be back; we always knew.
A great boon to our cause has been granted. Jaina from Dusk 'til Dawn has named Willow Intervention site of the month for October:
We are not worthy, but as always ... all for Willow. *sob*
08.18.02 Searching for the cool, I have been doing a bit of redesigning. Caitlin from This Year's Girl and Raindrops + Roses was kind enough to review WI and I'm in the process of working on some of her points, thus splash. WI has not been as dormant as it seems over the last few weeks. We picked up three awards from Deciding Destiny, one at Pure Bliss Awards another at To Die For and a little earlier on one from the All or Nothing Awards, which have now sadly closed. As soon as the graphics arrive they will be placed on the Awards page. As always Willow Intervention is extremely grateful to the judges for their support in our ongoing struggle to aid Willow Rosenberg in the long, hard journey of recovery.
In line with the coming of a new era for Willow, WI will be making some content changes in the weeks ahead. The Sights section will be overhauled and the archived pictures removed. Save what you would like to keep soon as they will be going shortly. Also the Flicks will receive similar treatment. To save the Flicks you must save the page for offline viewing, this will keep the little swf files for you to view at your leisure. The new Flicks will of course be dedicated to ... I said I wouldn't cry again ... Willow's greatest moments with ... *sob* Tara. They are now, but those final days will receive special attention in the new edition.
You may have noticed the Join form no longer asks if you have tough love for Willow, but "Do you forgive Willow?" A very important question for us all in the days ahead.
With all Willow forgiveness ... *wimper*
07.15.02 Trying to come to terms with Willow's relapse, I've made a couple of therapeutic wallpapers ... learning to love the evil Willow. It's sooo hard. *wimper*
06.17.02 Again the time seems to drag in these dark days, these days of no news of our poor devastated Willow. You may have noticed on the buttons page a few token signs of our forgiveness and on-going love for Willow. May I suggest the posting of these and other signs of our devotion would be a positive message to send the bereft relapsee.
There are murmurings of possible punishment for our poor lost one; it would seem too cruel for one who has suffered sooo already. We can but focus all our positive energy on her hasty recovery and send her our strength in this difficult time of grieving.
As Joss wills it, so shall it be. *weeps quietly*
05.24.02 Will our Willow ever be the same again? We can but place our trust in the higher power - remember that Joss thingy - and open ourselves to the changes Willow has gone through and where they'll ultimately take her. Like Xander we should go the Sonnet 116 route, Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds.
We love our Willow, that's why we're here. We've done the tough, now for the big all-seasons-you-tried-to-kill-us-all-but-that's-o.k. kinda Xander-big-heart Willow love.
All for Willow ... always ... *sniff*.
05.17.02 Oh Willow ... It's big stick time, gang.
According to the five stages of grief, Willow skipped quickly through Denial to ANGER. She's also staying with the whole Isolation thing which is part of Denial. Willow made a feeble attempt at Bargaining when she asked Osiris to bring *sob* Tara back. Let's say she's a long way from Acceptance, and seems to be living in the Depression stage, evinced in her emotional numbness.
Personally it seems the whole Big Bad Fury thingy is our Will's way of avoiding the pain. She's a textbook case. If only she can busy herself wreaking havoc and possibly destroying the world, she can put off feeling her loss. Just quietly, our Will has never been very good at pain. One couldn't say she dealt very well with losing Oz, remember the whole "My will be done" debacle?
Get out those big sticks, we've never needed them the way we need them now. Oh Willow ...
Tough to the end.
05.08.02 There are no words to properly express how our hearts go out to Willow at this time, so Willow Intervention is saying all it can by descending into deep mourning. We must be strong for Willow. What more can we do?
Tough ...
05.05.02 What more can one say ... yay smoochies! After a long hard road to recovery Willow has been reunited with her Tara. We aren't here to gloat, we aren't here to feel self-satisfied, we're just here for Willow, to support her in her time of need, and to rejoice with her in her moment of redemption. Yes our tough love has found its mark, and our Will is back *sniff* forging ahead *sob* a reformed character *whaaaa*.
I'm sorry. We must, despite appearances, stick to our purpose even now. There are dark portents and auguries or doom all around us, we must stay firm, and I fear keep our big sticks handy. There is no such thing as a cured magic addict, recovery is for life ... however long ... *sniff*, or short ... *sob*, that may be ... *WHAAAAAA* ...
Tough as I can ... *snivel*
02.04.02 How time plods when you're waiting. Belated Easter Greetings and commiserations over the over indulgence of chocolatey goodness to all. Barfy feelings are the price we pay, and perhaps bring us closer to understanding our heroine. We know we shouldn't eat another egg, but there it is, all wrapped up in it's festive foil waiting to be undressed and gobbled up. What can we do? The flesh is weak - and now barfy and bloated.
Our Willow has sooo been the hero of late. We must remember that in the times to come. Willow is a hero and a hero will prevail. She is not Macbeth and she is much too decisive to be Hamlet. No matter how far she is pushed the hero in our Willow will prevail. And when all else fails she has us to give her a good hard smack and bring her to her senses. All will ... be well.
In all barfy toughness ...
17.03.02 A very happy St.Patrick's day to all. This site is appropriately dressed for something at last. I would like to bring to your attention a couple of developments: 1) the new Walls page, today sporting four new Vamp Willow wallpapers for lovers of that mischievious little imp, and 2) the removal of some of the large version pictures from the old sights page. I chose to remove all the Smashed and Wrecked pictures, just because I like to live in denial - while I can. If you would like copies of any of those caps just email me and I'll send them along.
As we have a little time on our hands I won't be posting the caps from Normal Again straight away, but you can expect them soon.
In this time of reflection we think of Willow in her continuing struggle against temptation, surrendering those things she cannot change over to her higher power - who rumour has it is called Joss - and taking it one day at a time. We should take a leaf from her book, trust in Joss and send her all the tough love we have. If the time comes for a good hard smack, then it comes, but let us not live in anticipation of what we cannot prevent. Again I say, trust in Joss.
In emerald green toughness ...
03.03.02 There have been several important developments since last I wrote, most importantly our brave little toaster's continued resistance to magic even when it causes conflict and embarassment. We are so proud. And how many red-blooded lesbians could have resisted doing just about anything Sam - Riley's wife - asked them to *sizzel*.
Willow Intervention is also proud to announce that yet another award has been kindly bestowed upon us, this time the Best New Site Award from The To Die For Awards. As soon as the award arrives I'll place it on the Awards page.
With all the good news and strong progress it is easy to forget that the road to recovery is seldom as relapse-free as Willow's has been thus far. We must stay firm in our resolve to support Willow with all our tough love. I fear the darkest times are yet to come.
As ever, toughly ...
02.11.02 In this Valentine's week let's all just sign and look forward to the (hoping, hoping, hoping) joyful reconciliation of our Willow and her Tara. In honour of the romantic feast day Willow Intervention is ignoring every other event in Dead Things to concentrate solely on the meeting between the star crossed lovers.
All chocolatey toughness ...
02.04.02 And let us all give a great big virtual *smack* to that bad bad Amy woman. There's our Willow struggling to keep clean and she comes along and makes it sooo much harder. Shame Amy, shame. On a more positive note it is impossible to miss the fact that our Willow has been miss "Save the Day" twice in a row now, and neither time has had anything to do with magic. Undoubtedly progress is being made, though we mustn't forget that there are still balances to be redressed. Here are fingers crossed the cosmic scales will be set to rights very soon, and that there won't be any ultimate sacrifices necessary to get them there.
01.26.2002 In these weary times waiting for news of Willow and the progress of her recovery, we can take heart in the generous bestowing of awards on this humble Willow Intervention. The graphics are yet to arrive, but we have been kindly awarded runner-up for Best Cast Member Site over at the Magic Awards. We have also received two awards from the Forever Awards, Best Character Site, and runner up for Most Original Site. The awards themselves will be placed on the Awards page as soon as they arrive. Thank you very much to the site owners and the judges for lending their support to our difficult task.
We hope for the best, but we remain ready to 'assume crash positions'.
In abundant toughness ...
01.11.2002 It's sooo tempting to begin easing up on our Will; Gone saw Willow making solid progress on the road to recovery, in her own words "good first steps". Struggling with the whole "one foot in front of the other" concept, Willow remained clean for the whole episode ... *sniff* ... (excuse me). However, don't forget Xander's salutary words "relapse is part of recovery." She needs us tough now more than ever. She needs our strength, she needs our support, but she also needs our "resolve face". No sparklers or party streamers yet, and definitely none of those little champagne bottles that go bang. There'll be time for celebration later ... please goddess.
Helping to bring us to the attention of our recovering nerd sister, Seejay from Always and Forever - our latest new member, yay! - has entered us in three categories over at her Magic Awards. Thank you very much, Seejay. Win or not, as always, it's all for Willow. :'^)
Later the same day ... The sounds are gone. The new Flicks section has taken up the site space where they used to be. A word of caution though, we are definitely going to exceed our data transfer limits on a regular basis now. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but I hope when you do get in you find it worthwhile, just as we hope Willow Rosenberg might find us and be inspired to mend her ways.
In all toughness ...
01.03.2002 I would like to wish all Willow Interventionists a Very Happy New Year. Let us hope ... *sniff* ... our Willow can make it a time of reflection and recovery. In order to assist her in achieving this the site is about to make a slight change. If you enjoy the Sounds page may I suggest you save the things you enjoy most, as it will shortly be going. There has been an overwhelming response to the Moving page so the sounds will be replaced with more of these cliplettes, many including sound. These will all be backward looking to start out with, to help Willow count the blessings she has seemed all too eager to cast aside in her pursuit of the "Black Arts". In short expect to see a great deal more of her early days with Tara.
Still Tough.
12.27.01 As it's that time for looking back just before plunging ahead, I have added a section to help remember Willow and Tara as they were before Willow's addiction took over. The new Moving button will get you there. Dial-up warning, wait for the clips to load. This may also tax the data transfer limit. If we become unavailable it will take about an hour before you can enter again.
12.20.01 Again I say "Change"! Change is good. Change is what Willow needs ... or not. Maybe she's changed too much. Maybe she should be more the same. I don't know. I just know my own addiction to redesigning and learning new stuff is, not exactly out of control, but let us say, continuing in a healthy way. This is redesign #2. Everything is still here including a lot of tough love for Willow.
At this time of year let us think of Willow, her family, her friends, and especially poor old Tara, and how they're dealing during this festive season with her altered self. This may well be the Christmas without a Snoopy Dance.
Happy Hanuka Willow Rosenberg.
12.11.01 O.K. you may notice a slight change of scenery. It was brought to my attention that maybe fairy floss pink undermined the gravity of the site's intent. I have duly altered the layout to be more of the bilious green one would associate with addiction and difficult personal realisations - like your site is too pink. I hope you don't miss the pink too much. Just remember it's a salutary site not a carnival ride.
12.07.01 Rockin'! Lanie from Witchy Willow has made us a new button too. Find it here. She also blessed us with one of her awards:
That's in the good way and not the psycho-magic-junkie-from-hell way - I assume. Big thank you for supporting the cause, Lanie. It's all for Willow. :)
12.05.01 I am *sooo* gone the colour of this page. Cor from Essential has given this page the nicest nod. It's just *sooo* cool. I have to go hide now. :) OMG Cor has also made a cool new button to help us bring Willow around. Check it out.
12.03.01 Apologies to anyone having trouble accessing the site. If you find it's not here at any stage just give it about an hour and it should be back again. It's all about data transfer limits, but I'm sure you'd rather have the big juicy sound files than not, so I'm not thinking of trimming down yet.
12.01.01 O.K. we had several breakthroughs this week, In Wrecked Willow admitted "I need help"; she expressed remorse for harm done; admitted that Tara left because of her magic, AND expressed a clear intention to give it all up, but guys, we are *so* not out of the woods yet.
Much as we'd like to get all "hugs and puppies", we've a ways to go. Was Wrecked the first time you watched Willow cry and you didn't have to get your hankie out? Did you ever believe that could happen? We need to be vigilant, unrelenting. This dependence has been brewing for years. Much as I hate to say it, it's not over yet. Just remember what she did to Bambi, and *stay tough*.
11.25.01 We're here to help Willow Rosenberg realise *she has a problem* and it's that much more serious than Miss Kitty's catnip addiction. Yes, *our Willow* is headed down the path of self destruction through the misuse of her, like *way amazing* magical powers. She's off the rails friends, and it's time for *tough love*.
Willow's addiction has just had catastrophic consequences for her relationship with Tara - and we're all suffering from that one. Yet still she can't admit what's going on. *WHAT WILL IT TAKE?*
If you're a Willow supporter and have a website, show your support with one of our buttons. Put it right where the once happy hacker will find it, here on the net. Even if you don't have a website, sign up and show your support. In the mean time we just have to remember:
*This too will pass.*
Never Leave Me to Showtime caps up.
Final Moments Flicks
That Willow/Anya moment Wallpaper. (Tara lovers, please don't hurt me, I loved her too.)
Buttons to show we still care.
I haven't seen this in the flesh yet, but Nikki asked so nicely if I'd put
it up I couldn't say no.
