Receiving the inaugural Queen of Crime Award with the Judges.

My love of medieval history and writing crime has come together in my new medieval crime series for teenagers titled 'The Janna Mysteries'. Rosemary for Remembrance was published by Random House Australia in March 2005. Book 2 Rue for Repentance, and book 3, Lilies for Love, will be released in March and October 2006.

At Manly Library I took along a boxful of plants - the Pulman Portable Poison Pack - to illustrate my talk about my prize-winning story, Wild Garlic. (You'd be surprised how many poisonous plants there are in a suburban garden!)

With several unsuccessful crime novels under my belt, I decided to try writing short stories with a crime/mystery theme. Several of my short stories have won awards in competitions run by Partners in Crime, Fellowship of Australian Writers and the Katherine Susannah Pritchard Foundation.
Many of my short stories and articles have been published in mainstream and literary magazines and in anthologies.
