Born the fourth son of King King Tir'Alya, A'maelhin was resigned to be but a
minor noble in the kingdom. Rather than become a spoiled noble, A'maelhin
purposed to become a warrior with the homeguard. After serving for a few
years, A'maelhin discovered an ancient rule that allowed an elf to seek out his
own path. The right known as Utu'men.
Having claimed the right of Utu'men, A'maelhin set out on a journey of
discovery. Eventually, he found his way to the frontier city of Garic's
City. Not too long after he arrived, he was summoned home by the
court Mage. He found out that his older brothers had been captured by a
mercenary band of orcs, half orcs and humans. A'maelhin was to help in the
rescue attempt of his brothers. When they arrived at the fort, they fought
the mercenaries down to the last man. When they broke in to where his
brothers were kept, they found that they'd been tortured for many days.
There bodies lay tattered and appeared to have been dead for some time.
There was nothing anyone could have down.
A'maelhin spent his time grieving. And once the grieving period was over,
he returned to Garic's to continue on the path of Utu'men.
