Wolf Family
Michael Wolf II served as Captain
of his own company of Calwells Regiment of Mounted Militia in General Hopkins's campaign against the Indians in the fall of 1812. The roster
of names in
the regiment reflect many early settlers in this area:
Wolf Adams, Linn, Cave,
Newton, Berry, Anderson, Hamilton, Brown, Akin, Talburt and others.
There is an internet site that
show this roster and it can also
be found in Kentucky Soldiers of the War of 1812, published 1969.
