Basic Info:
Lycans are large cat-like canines. They are about the size of an African Lion, but some individuals are known to be smaller. Lycans have the basic look and keen senses of canines, but they have the retractable claws and the grace of felines. Some are even born with wings. Lycans also can control certain elements, depending on their breed. Their basic personality, fur color, abilities and eating habits are determined by their breed, but please note that there may be exceptions to every rule, and that the breed info is only a starting point for each individual Lycan.
Communication:
Lycans have two ways to comunicate. The first is a strong telepathic voice that can be herad by anyone. Lycans form an emotional "link" with their caretakers, and lifemates. Through this link they share not only mindspeak, but emotions, and even shared pain and dreams. The second is a language of barks, growls, sents, and body language that Lycans use to communicate with each other. Only other Lycans can understand it.

Fire:
Colors: red, yellow, orange, gold, brown
Temperament: mean, rash, uncontrollable, protective, loyal, mischievous
Food: meat
Abilities: Able to withstand extremely hot environments, Heat things up at will, some can manipulate fire
Water:
Colors: blue, aqua, purple, white
Temperament: calm, playful, trusting, intelligent
Food: fish, shellfish, occasionally waterfowl
Abilities: Can breath underwater, excellent swimming abilities, can manipulate water, some can spout a powerful spray of water from their mouths
Forest:
Colors: green, brown
Temperament: thoughtful, aloof, shy
Food: leaves, tree bark, berries, eggs
Abilities: Able to manipulate tree growth, can blend into the forest very well, can climb very well
Lightning:
Colors: yellow, gold
Temperament: very mischievous, intelligent, cunning, loves pranks
Food: small mammals, birds, reptiles
Abilities: Can shock others with a touch, able to manipulate lightning, very fast runners
Shadow:
Colors: silver, black, blue
Temperament: cruel, untrusting, bitter, protective, fond of dark humor, make surprisingly good parents
Food: meat
Abilities: Able to see in the darkness, can blend in at night
Sun:
Colors: yellow, gold, orange, white
Temperament: kind, forgetful, cheerful, easily distracted, lovable
Food: fruit, nectar, flowers
Abilities: Can make themselves glow brightly, can heal the injuries of other Lycans
Jewel:
Colors: any, usually bright
Temperament: friendly, vain, overconfident, stubborn
Food: Insects, small mammals, loves candy/chocolate
Abilities: Able to "sniff out" gemstones and precious metals with amazing accuracy, can turn pebbles into gemstones
Ice:
Colors: white, blue, purple, pink
Temperament: calm, aloof, indiffrent
Food: Fish and small mammals
Abilities: Able to survive freezeing tempetures, can turn anything they wish with into ice with a touch, can create and control ice and snow
Wind:
Colors: white, blue, aqua, silver
Temperament: frivolous, whimsical, moody, fun-loveing
Food: Birds, fish
Abilities: Able to manipulate winds and air currents, can control weather to a limited extent
Mutation (Lycan who don't fix into any of the above breeds, very rare):
