This Week's Message

This Scripture is not something to be afraid of. God never changes, but we do and the times that we live in. Unfortunately, we, as humans, also have a tendency to put "God in a box" and make a move of God a new denomination. The new things of God are crossroads for us. He has given us a new life and in this new life we make choices that change us and mold us into who He wants us to be. His "old" things are the same as His "new" things, but they produce new changes in who we are and our surroundings. Did you ever get to a place of dead ends in your life where you think that nothing is going to work? That's where God's new things come into our lives to give us the road to His perfect desination for us. Throughout our life God has allowed us to make our own choices - it's the free will He has given us. As a new creation in Jesus, we now need to choose His choices and His will. These new things to us are His age old ways of molding us as the potter molds clay. "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come." 2 Corinthians 5:17 God isn't looking for us to be led blind, He wants us to be aware of what He is doing. He promises not only to deliver us out of our bondage and our past but to lead us safely and assuredly to a new place of being in Him. When we enter into God's new plan for us, it becomes a new and fresh outlook at the life He intended for us all along, far different from the way we've been living our lives on our own. God promises a new life, full of grace and truth, divinely designed to allow us to enter into the fulness of Himself. A new place full of riches and glory in His Son, our Savior, Christ Jesus. He has made known to us the mystery of His will according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him (Jesus) (Ephesians 1:9) Prayer: Lord, open our hearts that we may draw ever closer to You, that we may be assured that the voice which speaks to us is that of Your Holy Spirit sent to guide and direct us to the new place in You and the new things You desire for our lives. Help us to be looking ahead and pressing on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus just like Paul instructed in Philippians 3:14. Help us to be aware of the "new" things which are actually are the mysteries which for ages have been hidden in God who created all things. Let us operate in the fruit of faith and not fear when You spring us into a new level of Your ways of doing and being righteous in Jesus. Amen
