I was brought up Catholic and began to learn about God. We weren't really taught much about Jesus in terms of salvation, nor the Holy Ghost in terms of the baptism. I went to Christian Church when I was 17 and got "saved" but I didn't really know from what. It took many long years of not knowing before I got serious about needing my Savior. I was feeling a real empty spot where I know God should be.
By this time I'm going to church with my husband (you saw the picture didn't you?). We were both pretty much in the same boat and soaked in the teachings like a sponge soaks in water. We started learning together, growing together, and finally when he received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, we started ministering together. We realized the impact we were having on people and knew it was Christ in us, the hope of glory.
So you know I'm a wife and a mom, but for God I'm a teacher. He is so faithful. He called me to teach a long time ago. I even went to school for a degree in education - but I never knew it would be in spiritual things. I've been on fire for Him and His Word until I thought I would burn up and I want to share it with everyone. That's why the message pages are there. My husband and I want to share with you what God has given to us.
When the Lord gave me an interest in the web, I had already been online for 9 months and hardly touched it. My friend sent me her web site and told me how to get a free one. It was like the blind leading the blind! About October 1998 I started building this site. I knew nothing and instead of being the teacher, I had to be the student. You see where it's grown to and still growing.
We decided to make the web work for God. To spread the gospel of Jesus through the internet one hit at a time. We already had Crossroads Ministries in the works, so why not launch it? God is bigger than the internet anyway. We are daily growing and learning what it takes to uphold the design the Lord gave us for this ministry. It's Overcoming Adversity and Re-Establishing God's Will for Your Life, and it's one day at a time. You have to know that we walk that Road less traveled every day or we wouldn't be here.
We have found out how important it is to have Jesus in our lives. It has made all the difference in our marriage, family, and friends. It really is the only way we'd want to be. I'm sure you will find this out as you travel along the road to eternal life. I hope this site inspires you to learn more about Him and who you are in Him. Jesus loves you.
