Dice Escape (link)
back to tip page
The point of the game is to move your dice across the board using the arrow keys. Complete each level by landing your dice in the "exit sqaure" as quickly as possible and in as few steps as possible... thing is, the top of your dice has to have the number of the exit square! You'll see what I mean.
There are a few "special" squares:
-
Exit:
This is the goal. The top of your dice has to mach the exit square's number for you to move on to the next level!
-
Sinkers:
Like the exit square, the top of your dice has to mach this square when you land on it. If you do this, a certain number of those raised squares will sink down, allowing you to pass over them.
-
Teleport:
When you land on this square it teleports you to a another square. Ports take you to the same square every time you step on them.
-
Lava:
INSTADEATH!
-
One-Time-Use Square:
You can only step on this square once! When you step off it will fall out into the bottomless pit beneath you. >:[
Now, there are a few little easter eggs for you:
- Type "topdown" to switch to a top down view of the board. Type it again to return to the normal view.
- Type "moretimeruki" to reset the timer.
*once a game*
- Type "helpmeplease" to reset the game timer.
*once a game*
- Type "flybywire" to make all the tiles appear in wire mode.
This game is basically a puzzle. When you have the puzzle's solution, you can zip through it! Your score is all about TIME so do everything as fast as you can! Be sure to look over the diagram before starting a new level.
Here are a few things you need to know to use the diagrams:
-
Sometimes the game "keeps things interesting" by giving you the mirror image of each level! Everything is backwards! If this happens you can end the game, start a new one & things should be back to normal.
-
The coins on each level can give you 5, 10, or 25 points. To get to the coin you might have to go a couple of steps out of your way! Sometimes it's just not worth it. Every step you take you lose 4 bonus points. FOR EXAMPLE: If you have to step one square over and back to get the coin & get back on track, you lose 8 bonus points! If the coin is a 10 or 25, it's worth it. If it's a 5 you are better off staying on the track to the end! For each level I will tell you when to go for the coin. Follow the second diagram for alternate paths.
-
Sometimes you have to overlap your path or do a loop-de-loop, so to make things clearer I have used several colored arrows. Complete all the arrows of one color before moving on to the next color! The order is Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green.
-
I suggest you keep the this page in the background as you go through the game. Scroll to the level you are about to do, then put the dice escape game up next to the diagram as you go.
Here are the solutions for levels 1-18. Follow them DIRECTLY! If you take a step or two in the wrong direction just retrace your steps and get back on track ASAP!
