DOG HELP Another of Rusty's important duties is "dog help". Those of you who do not own dogs may not be familiar with "dog help". However, parents may recognize it because of the similarity to "kid help". Dog help consists of getting between you and what you are doing, standing in front of whatever you are reaching for or laying down on whatever you started to pick up. Here he is, poised to rush in and provide dog help. |

Here he is folks! My wife felt she needed a dog to guard her when I was out of town. This is the one she picked. As you can see, he is fully alert and takes his guard duties quite seriously. |
This is Ray's Rusty Red, commonly known as just plain Rusty. Yes, this mutt is actually registered! Women and children love him. They think he is adorable. Just for the record, Crash 219 voted for getting a real dog. A real dog sleeps under the porch, eats scraps, goes hunting with you and rides in the back of your pickup This dog sleeps in our bed, eats expensive store-bought dog food and is scared of loud noises (shotguns, for example). I don't know if he would ride in the back of the pickup because my wife is afraid that if I put him in the back of the truck, he will fall out and hurt himself. |
