Welcome!
We heard on May 5, 1998, that we have placed 3rd out of 147 international entries in the contest. Needless to say, we are thriled. Here is a summary of the proposal, as submitted:
The CARTWRIGHT COUGARSPHERE project transported the students of Cartwright Elementary School into the high frontier of deep space. The students became citizens of the first international orbiting space station. Through a cooperative integrated approach, the participants researched, designed, and built a habitat that would meet all the needs of its citizens in deep space. All the physical, social, cultural, economic, and recreational necessities of the space station inhabitants were taken into consideration.
