A new approach for analysis of Potential of Stocks

The Trend Setting Periods (TSPs) :

The Cosmo analysis based reports on individual stocks are rich regarding information about assessed strength of TSPs for the stock during different future periods. Those reports can help for a second opinion while handling the fundamental & technical based recommendations of different analysts for selecting a stock for investment purpose.

A little deeper understanding of the role of TSPs is desirable for making good use of such reports.

A trend setting period (TSP) is divided into 3 levels. namely Level I, Level II and Level III.

One or the other Planets operates as Level ! for several years and then the next Planet takes over. For example, Venus (Ve) operates for 20 yrs. at Level I, next Sun (Su) for 6 yrs, then Moon (Mo) for 10 yrs, then Mars (Ma) for 7 yrs. and so on.

Likewise Planets operate as Level II for several months/ few years and similarly as Level III for several weeks/ few months.

At any given time, different Planets are operating at all the three levels for a certain period. The strength/weakness of those Planets and their co-relation with one another on the astro chart for the specific stock indicates about tendency of the stock for price movement during the period. The assessed strength/weakness of those Planets is indicated in the reports.

The following table will help for further understanding the concept of TSPs. Cosmo Analysis of historic quotes of Revathi Equipments was carried out and an astro chart & the following TSP table was prepared after considering the historic price movement and technicalities of the subject.

13-02-04 Me Ra Ma At any given time, 3 Planets are operating as TSP at level I, II & III.
02-06-04 Me Ju Ju Mercury (Me)  is influencing price of this stock at Level I  for 17 yrs. from Jan. 1992 to Jan. 2009.

17-01-06 Me Ju Ma Briefly, Mercury(Me)/ Jupiter (Ju)/ Venus (Ve) were operating at Levels I, II & III respectively during the period 26-03-05 to 11-08-05.  The assessment of strength of  Me, Ju & Ve and their co-relations in the astro chart for the stock was carried out and  projections on the probability of price movement during this period were prepared.  Next Mercury(Me)/ Jupiter (Ju)/ Sun (Su) were operate during 11-08-05 to 21-09-05 and so on.

19-10-07 Me Sa Ve How the author arrives at the projections :  Considering the positions in the astro chart, Me is assessed as 'very good', When Me started as LI in 1992, the price started moving very fast. Ju assessed as 'excellent' and Ve as 'above average'. The co-relation of these three Planets in astro chart is 'friendly'.  Considering this assessment,  a good upward movement of price was expected during the period. The price moved upward by about 30%.  Checking the price chart, you will notice, the  price was not moving up and up through out the period. Price was up, dn and side-ways but finally resulting a 30% appreciation during the period. The fluctuations in price trend was on account of moving positions of the Planets (Transits). The subject of 'Transits' for day to-day monitoring of price is being explained on the next pages.

Summarisingly,
  • Three planets operate during a certain period as TSP (Trend setting Planets) at Levels I, II & III. The periods are stock specific.
  • A Planet operates at Level I for several years. A Planets at Level II operates for few years/ several months. thereafter another Planet takes over at Level II.  A Planet at Level III  operates for few months/ several weeks then the next Planet takes over.
  • Overall tendency for the price movement during the specific period depends on the strength/weakness of these Planets in the astro chart for the specific stock. Such information is being provided in the reports on the individual stocks.
  • Suppose strength of Level I  Planet is excellent. As Level I Planet remains same for several years, the stock is considered as fundamentally strong for the so long period. However, the stock would still face many sharp ups/ downs depending upon the strength of periodically changing Level II and Level III Planets.
  • Similarly, suppose strength of Level II  Planet is excellent. As Level II Planet remains same for few years/ several months, the stock is considered as fundamentally strong for that  period specially if the Level I is also excellent/good.  However, the stock would still face many sharp ups/ downs depending upon the strength of periodically changing Level III Planets.
  • Similarly, suppose strength of Level III  Planet is excellent. As Level III Planet remains same for few months/ several weeks, the stock is considered as strong for that  period specially if the Level I & II are also excellent/good.  However, even if Level I & II are not so good, the price would move upward during the period of Level III.
  • Even if the TSP is excellent/ good, it doesn't mean that the price would go up and up all the days during the period.  Practically, any few days the price would break upward. Another few days it may go down or it may stagnate (move side ways). This phenomenon occurs on account of Transits. However, while a TSP is excellent/ good, it remains highly probable that the price would reach at an appreciably high level at one or the other stage during the period.  Similarly if a TSP is bad/ weak, it remains highly probable that the price would reach at a considerably low level at one or the other stage during the period.
  • The good/ bad effects of a new TSP can sometimes be experienced even from few days in advance of commencement of the new period.
Strategy for investment :
The Cosmo analysis based reports can provide a good help  for examining the stocks for investment purposes. The reports can be used as a supplement for fundamentals & technicals. However, due caution is necessary.  The following steps are suggested in this regard :
  • After receiving report for a stock, check its fundamentals & technicals.  If fundamentals & technicals are found good only then move to the next step.
  • Suppose TSP for a forthcoming period is reported as excellent/very good/ good, keep this stock in your watch list. Buy whenever technicals loudly suggest so.
  • At least the Level III TSP should be good if you want to buy.
  • If only Level III TSP is good (and Level II not good), then buy for short term and if next Level III is bad, it is better to exit before the end of Level III TSP.
  • If Level II and the current Level III TSPs good, then buy for mid/ long term. If next Level III happens to be bad and the next to next being good (Level II remaining same/good), then examine to exit partly, holding the rest for booking profit in next good TSPs.
  • Of course, buy/sell decisions are to be made on the basis of Fundamentals/ Technicals,  keeping the cosmo analysis based views in the background  just as a probability.
The above discussion pertains to the concept of  Trend setting periods (TSPs).  This concept may be found useful for analyzing a stock for investment.  Reports on few stocks are uploaded on this site. The link is available on the subsequent pages. You may like to see those reports.
The stock-wise reports on TSPs can give a kind of feel about the strength of the stock for longer periods. However, even if a TSP is excellent, the stock would meet downs at different stages,  though finally the price may reach upward during the period and vice versa

The day to-day ups and downs in the price of stocks and the market as a whole can be guessed by using the concept of 'TRANSITS'.  This concept is explained on the next page.
