Bodybuilding
IN THE BEGINNING... |
|
 |
I
started working out with weights when I was a junior in high school to
improve my athletic performance and minimize my injuries. I
didn't get into it seriously until my best friend, Chris, and I went off
to college. We weren't too much into the partying scene, and
quite frankly, we were sick of being runts. So we gave it hell
through college and made some good gains. After
I graduated from college and started working full time, I slowly
got away from working out. |
|
Instead of going back to being
skinny, I started getting fat, at least in my opinion. So,
after about a year layoff, I started slowly getting back into
it. It wasn't until 1997 when I really made a
commitment to make some good progress. Since then, I have
gone from around 160 lbs of lean muscle mass to over 200 lbs. |
 |
THEN...
I
powerlifted competitively in 1991 and 1992 and didn't get into
competitive bodybuilding until 1999. Last year, I competed in the
Midwest Fitness and Physique Extravaganza in Sioux City, IA where I got
second place in the light-heavyweight class. Then, two weeks later
at the Nebraska State / Central States Bodybuilding Championships in
Lincoln, NE, I won the light-heavyweight class in both shows and the
overall trophy in the Nebraska State.

NOW...
I just recently competed in the 2000 Rocky Mountain Bodybuilding/
Carol Semple Fitness Classic on November 4th, 2000. I took
second place in the light-heavyweight class.
