6. Use VLSMs to extend the use of the IP addresses
VLSM (Variable Length Subnet Masking) provides a more efficient use of
address space when subnetting.
Protocols that support VLSM
- BGP
- EIGRP
- ISIS
- OSPF
- RIP2
RIP1 doesn't support VLSM because it does not
have the subnet mask field.
