Its really nice to see the CFC members taking an interest in the
CFC_Experimental egroup. Nowaywins has given us this forum as a
place
to play with the egroups as a moderator, and learn, before we are
forced to do this when the merger takes place in 2001.
Perhaps if you figure out something cool and interesting that you
could post it to this list so that we can all learn!!
Thanks Nowaywins for your continuing efforts!!

hello everyone, you will see in the top right corner of the front
page of egroup under log in and your name something that says
family filter is on. Heres something to think about depending on your
own clubs needs. I have a sheltie list and from time to time we use
the words like bitch and stud and we found we needed to have the
filter off as egroup filters didnt like it. Just something to think
about.

hello
everyone
I like hearing the
nice comments about this group, but more importantly, are you
learning, is it worthwhile. You can try making up polls or
answer one we have now. Go for it!! The thinking is still
early next yr. for the merge

I did see where I failed to add when the poll would conclude.
Sorry...will end it Oct.10th.
Since I did forget to add the date, can any moderator with the
group, conclude the poll,or does the one that did it have too??
I am a member of many e-groups...I'm finding this all very helpful!!
[From the moderators standpoint.]
There needs to be more activity here,to really get the objective for
this group.
In learning the whats and wherefors of e-groups,and dealing with
flaming/harmfull/spaming post; Would they go to a file?? Or,could
they be deleted ??
Is it the moderaters preference to be able to read messages
posted ,before they are sent to the active list of messages??
I have been asked by my YahooClubs members to start a Group here,in
the aspects that Yahoo will join Clubs to Groups here, that have the
same name,interest...but before I do::I want to be able to handle
[with the help from this group]any problems that might arise first.
And what is "wrap words",on the bottom left, when writing a post??
Any comments??
Thanks...PJ ;o)

Or,could they be deleted ?? they can be deleted but they stay on file
otherwise, if you look at the front page you will see a
listing of months and a number in the box
that is the number of messages for each month, as well as you
can click on messages and see a listing of messages sorta like
the yahoo listing

ead of it
finishing on a line it just continues like instead just
did
hows
that?
did it
help
by all means

TO PJ and others:
I have gone in as a moderator and edited the poll ending time on PJ's
poll. So to answer the question, yes any moderator can edit someone
elses poll. Now, what I don't know, is if a member that is NOT a
moderator can edit it, somehow I doubt it very much.
Funny thing though.......I KNOW I and 4 others voted, yet the poll
says no one has......
How about voting?? Poll ends Oct 10th!

hello
all
when you create a poll
there is a line that says '. If you edit a poll after
voting has begun, you will lose the existing votes.
' and since Gwen didn't manually close the poll but
edit the poll to have a closing date we have lost the
data
everyone
gets to vote again!!!
