Hey Webmaster, what´s with updates? New Tourdates etc. I listen to Sophia since I´ve seen Absolute Giganten in cinema. It was very difficult to get both sophia and the god machine records together, but now i have them all. O.k. that all, but give the fans more news. thanx Trash

Hi everybody! Just wanted to ask if anybody knows if/when Robin will play in Belgium anytime soon? I heard there was supposed to be a gig in Brussels, but that got cancelled. Robin, if you read this, how about a concert in Gent? I know a lot of people would appreciate it.

Hi, my name is Erol and I live in Germany. I've been a GOD MACHINE fan since 1994,and I was really sad when they split. I'm happy that there are so many other fans all over the world. Sophia,of course,I love, too. I recorded the cologne gig in'99. If there are any interrests, mail me.I can do cd-copies. I hope Robin is not angry at me now. By the way:He promised to me,when they played Cologne half a year later, that it wouldn't be the same gig like in April. Well,it was quiet the same gig and I'm not angry at him. The May Queens album is pretty good,by the way. EROL

A Sober Party Atmosphere Robin Proper-Sheppard's first band The God Machine came to a tragic and abrupt end when the bass player Jimmy Fernandez died of a brain tumour. Since then he's been through no end of personal soul searching and trauma. With his latest outfit Sophia he's back on track making great music. And he's coming to Dublin for a solo show.

I hope to work all of them out in the future, but I have so many songs to tab out (Spain, Smog, Songs: Ohia (Why does all these bands start with an 'S'?)), all help is welcome and I promise to collect all the stuff and swing it on the net. If you want some songs, or if you want to help: just mail me! For Robin: thank you for this beautiful songs, helping me out of the shit. Thank you for the God Machine, thank you for Sophia. Thank you for the May Queens. Thank you for two great gigs last year (and by the way: nice shoes!) For my dearest friends: Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. greetingz, D

A third SOPHIA album!!! Just what I need. For the most part music has gone to shit. Just look at that Alternative Press mag. The music they care about now is like wresling/talk show music. Lame and no talent. Hey Emily Pettigrew, tell jason to get back to the real bands. Not one mention of Sophia when they put out "The Infinite Circle"!! Jason called me once after I wrote him a letter about Sophia and the God Machine. He put me on the phone with Robin and we chatted a bit. Great guy. I'm really thankful for Jason doing that. Just so disappointed in that magazine. It was around the time you were getting married because Robin told me he was in the states because he was the best man. Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing a new Sophia album real soon. And I have just about all the God Machine b-sides if anyone needs them. See ya all later. Will

Hi ! Like to thanks, for å great consert in Oslo last month, january. I was there with som friends and we all agreed on the fact that, it was a great consert. Robin expressed his confusions about how bad he played. But we cant simply not support that. It was a nice, soft and a very acoustic consert indeed. I wish Robin good luck with his new project in Norway, Oslo and I looking forward to listen to it. See u next year Robin. Great songs and melodies. Erik

hi, god knows if this e-mail is still in use. SORRY TO BOTHER YOU. YOUR SITE ON SOPHIA IS MY LAST HOPE AFTER SEARCHING THE WHOLE WEB FOR 3 MONTHS LOOKING FOR SOME NEWS ON THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD EVER....SKYSCRAPER (well maybe the 'third' best. I think MILK and GOD MACHINE are up there still untouchable.....anyway) My name is Claudio from Italy. I have been looking for skyscraper (vic and adi) for nearly 3 years now. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help help help!!!!! if you are somehow in touch with ADI or VIC let them know please that I'm desperately looking for them. Please relay this message to Adi or Vic if you can. if someone can. Thanking you is not enough. Thanks. message for Vic and Adi: remember me, you bloody ghosts!!! WHAT IS GOING ON????? I was there when bloody Milk + Swervedriver started, we were (sort of) friends once. I've shown my dedication in many occasion in the past, and now......everybody has completely disappeared. Vic, Adi, Adam, Skyscraper. Everything is like it never happened. What are you up to Vic? And you Adi? I don't even know why I'm writing this as I'm sure this e-mail box is out of order since ages. Anyway, after you released shooters and we all saw each other at Vic's wedding, I completely lost you all. For god's sake, I can't believe it. I phoned you Vic at your flat in Camden Town by they told me you moved somewhere else!!! where are you? Have you gone to Norwich? I miss you all as friends first and artists as well of course. I even heard rumours that Vic split with the wife.....it's none of my businness anyway. Well what can I say? If anyone can help me to get in touch with Vic or Adi I would cry of joy. Thank you. By the way, I work in a 'indipendent record company' here in Italy now. Is skyscraper still going? need a label? I used to live in Brussels, Belgium. I loved The God Machine and when I heard that Robin had started Sophia, i bought the album before I heard it, knowing that it would be amazing; it was. Then I saw Sophia about 4 times all over belgium. Now I live in DC and own the all three releases. I'm waiting for Sophia to hit the US. I used to play all TGM and Sophia tracks on the radio when I was a DJ. I spoke with Robin a few times, and of all the rockers I've met, I was only starstruck with him, as his music means more to me than any other musician.

I have to see Sophia live! Please, please, please does anyone know when they will be in England next, where and when. Also anyone who knows where to get The God Machines Scenes from a Second Storey album, I am desperate for a copy. I know it's not in print any more but i was wondering if there was any chance at all of it being found. Both God Machine and Sophia are absolutley fantastic! Are Sophia doing a new album soon.

Good to know there's people out there with some taste for music. And Sophia is just the Real Thing. Mm I'm also after the tabs for the songs. The only missing thing in this perfect site. Keep it up. One more thing: any CDs by Dakota Suite are very Sophia-like; give it a go and you won't repent. I recommend 1998's Songs for a Barbed Wire. There you go.

Thanks a lot for eveything you did (and surely, you'll do again)... You made me forget myself, I thought I was someone else, someone good. Now, I think I've changed. I'm really myself, and I think I 'm better so . I knew sophia by the person I loved the more, and now, this person is someone I hate more than the others persons.First, I loved her. Then it turned bad. First i thought I could kill her. But then, I realized (with a song called "Another Friend")it was to much easy for me... .Then I thought I could hurt (or kill)all her friends and her family. Only to hurt her... . But it was so stupid... .So, i listened to one of your records, and I thought i could maybe forgive her... . (Ouschh...)But I knew I never could ask her... .I would like to apologize, but I can't call/see/write to her,and even if I could,I would not ask her, because I know she hates me... . I hope you'll be (once more) a light in my personnaly death... . Hope you'll do it... . Best regards... See you soon. Sick.

I hope that Robin will keep on writing beautiful songs as he did on the 2 Sophia records... 3. I hope that someday he will play a gig anywhere that i can drive to (the Belgians and the Dutch have had enough already...) oh and 4. Christophe, i think my infinite circle cd is broken, i can't listen to the river song anymore ;-( so i'm gonna have to order another one... take care... Dave
