Hi Julio, Used to work at Melbourne FSS (way before it was closed) and worked closely with "Patrick Approach" on a daily basis. I understand that DAB has taken over the approach control functions. How many people do they have working there now? Or do they do the whole thing from up in Daytona now? Is the tower all military or or there some civilians working there with the you? Ex COF Approach controller (1990-95). Loved every minute of it. Miss the busy traffic! ( In the RAPCON, TWR, don't think so!) Best thing about the tower was the beach view. Too bad it was behind the airfield. No telling what was missed because contr llers studying the "bods" on the beach. It's a shame the A.F. gave up that facility (RAPCON). It was the best place to learn. Mo, you've done a great job. It was nice to see some of my old stompin' grounds again. Take care.
