Welcome all you Dreamcast Addicts!Want to know more about things you can do whilst on line in a chat room? Take a gander at the following,i hope there is something here that helps make life easier for you!

When in a chat room, you can........

Make your writing on screen appear pink to yourself and other chatters,by typing in a : berfore you type in the rest of your message.

To find someone,like one of your buddies on line,type in /goto ( your buddies name )This automatically takes you to where your buddy is!

You can also type in /follow (name) This takes you to your friend,but should they leave that chat room and go to another,you will automatically follow them there too!

Want to send your friend a message in private,so that no-one else can see it? Type /tell (name) then the message you want to send.

Just to add some spice to your own screen,try typing in the following,/display say-message (then a colour of your choice) ie.Red,Cyan,Green,Blue,Black or Yellow.Only you will see this on your screen.It doesn`t send your messages or your name in that colour to other chatters in that room!

Can`t see your clock or watch? Type /time and a digital time and date appears on screen just for you!

Some one bugging you,swearing or being a nuisance?

You can ignore them,which means you won`t see anything that the offending chatter has to say!Type in /ignore add (name)

You can easily remove them from your list by typing /ignore remove (name) You will then see every thing the are saying again.

Can`t remember who`s on your list? Type in /ignore list and a list of everyone you`re ignoring appears on your screen! ( Please note,you can only have 10 people on your list as far as i know! )

Want a buddy list?

This is as easy as the ignore list earlier,and you can have up to 10 buddies on your list at a time!

To add some one to a buddy list type /buddy add (name)To remove a buddy, type /buddy remove (name) To see who you have on your buddy list, type /buddy list and finally to see who considers you as a buddy, and has you on their list,type /buddy onlist

How about writing E-mails whilst dis-connected? Save`s time and money!

To achieve this amazing money saving brainwave,first you must switch on your Dreamcast.Then sign in,put in your password so that you can see your home page.Next go to the E-mail icon at the top of your screen and enter.

Once the page has loaded,click on the compose icon.( Don`t worry about filling in the subject or address lines!All will be revealed in a moment! )Write a couple of words in the message box, then either press the left trigger on the joy pad, or s1 on your keyboard,click down to Disconnect, and press the red button on the pad or enter on the key board.

Don`t panic, you can now write away on your message box, without fear of being disconnected or having a whooping great telephone bill,cause you`ve been typing too long!

After your master piece is finished,exit off your message and take your "pencil" back to the beginning of the e-mail.Press red button or enter on the key board,using the joy pad,go to copy on the joy pad screen and click it.You then start to re-trace all your message with what looks like a thick black line running through your letters( your letters should appear white, if you are doing it right! )As soon as the whole of your message on the e-mail page is black with white writing,click again on copy on your joy pad.Your screen will then go back to normal,( black writing on white background )

Now re-connect,sign in with your password, enter into your email section and do one of the following :1 Go to compose,click and wait for your screen to load with a new e-mail sheet, using your joy pad,take your "pencil" to the beginning of the page, then go to paste on your pad and press the red button.Hey Presto!! Your e-mail that you have just written has magically appeared in your message box! Exit your message box, fill in the e-mail address and subject box, then all you do is send! Simple! :2 Instead of going to compose, go to your address book, click on who you are sending your mail to, and then the e-mail box is already prepared! Just paste in your message as above,fill in subject box ( that`s optional by the way! ) then click on the send button as above! There, Job Done!
