After spending seven years in the Rubberstamping business, being involved with several different companies, Laurie and Hank Embleton noticed that most companies had some good ideas, as well as some things that needed to be changed. They noticed such things as lack of quality control in product manufacture, lack of attention to the concerns of demonstrators ...And a definite lack of upline support and training for new demonstrators. These things had a negative impact not only on demonstrators and the companies they sold for, but also on the entire rubberstamp home party industry. After much deliberation and prayer, they decided that the best way to counter these problems was to start their own company, based on Christian principals, and supported by a Code of Ethics to which each demonstrator must agree. Hence Sweet Celebrations was started with two goals in mind: 1. To provide rubberstampers what they want: excellent images, produced to the highest quality standards, at a reasonable price. Additionally, to allow rubberstampers the ability to sell their hand made works of art for a profit. To this end, we decided that Sweet Celebrations had to be and Angel company. 2. To provide a framework in which rubberstampers could make an income from their hobby. This framework had to reward those who were willing to put forth the effort required to build a large business as well as those who wished to do only a little. To this end, we developed the Sweet Celebrations Compensation Plan. Then the Embletons brought together a group of successful demonstrators and solicited their input on all aspect of the company formulation. This insured that Sweet Celebrations would in fact be designed to support the demonstrator force. They then took months in selecting the highest quality images from several artists to insure that our demonstrators would have products that could "sell themselves". The results of this hard work, combined with several instances of what they are convinced were Divine Intervention, is the Sweet Celebrations that we have today.
