“Kelly, hurry your ass up. We have to be downstairs in five minutes.” Madison was ready in her silver cocktail dress. She was flipping through the channels on the TV, waiting for Kelly. Ten minutes later Kelly came into the room. Madison turned to watch her walk into the kitchen. “Kelly… you look fabulous. All I can say is wow!!” Kelly turned once around for Madison to get the whole look. Kelly’s long slender tan body fit perfectly into tight fitting strapless black dress. Her chinese sandals looked elegant on her feet. The diamond teardrop choker hung gently around her long neck. Kelly’s hair was once again crimped but this time she let the long blond wild hair down and did not put it up. Her makeup was smoky and sexy. Madison spoke up again, “Maybe I should go change. I really don’t compare to you.” Kelly smiled, “Nah, you look great!! But please, tell me where we’re going? Please?” Madison shook her head, “Nope, I’ve kept it from you this long. Just wait. We have to get downstairs though. Let’s go. You don’t need a purse tonight, and I won’t either. Oh wait, get your ID and stick it in your bra or something.” Kelly ran back into her room and came quickly back out shoving her ID down her dress. “Okay, I’m ready. Let’s go.” The two got their jackets and said goodbye to the sleeping Riley and left to wait on the driveway.
It was snowing again. Madison and Kelly huddled together while waiting in the driveway. Kelly finally got mad and questioned Madison, “Madison. What the hell are we doing standing in my driveway in the middle of a snowy night? Why don’t we just take my Jeep or your Toyota to wherever we’re going? Come on. I’m freezing.” Madison was getting worried. It was 6:40 and the limo hadn’t arrived yet. In her heart she knew the guys wouldn’t lie to her, but maybe they had just forgotten their promise or something. “Kelly, oh whatever. I’ll just tell you part of the secret. We’re waiting for a limo to take us to your surprise. It was supposed to be here at 6:3…..” Kelly started jumping up and down. “Madison, here it is. The limo’s here. It just turned the corner. I saw the headlights through the snow.” Just then a white limo pulled up into Kelly’s driveway. Kelly was so excited she couldn’t speak. The driver came out and opened the back door of the limo for the girls. “Good evening ladies. I’ve been sent here to drive you to your destination tonight. Please enjoy what is in the back. It was set out for you.” Kelly and Madison got in the back seat. The driver shut the door and got back in the front seat.
The girls felt the limo moving and Madison knew that everything was going to be okay. As the girls looked around the limo they were amazed. The whole back area was covered in white roses. Champagne and strawberries were set out. Kelly was confused, “Madison, you know I love you a lot but I don’t think that I love you in this way. What is all of this?” Madison started laughing hysterically. “Well, I guess it’s time to finally spill the beans. Please don’t freak or scream at me, or cry because it would mess up your makeup and please don’t say anything until I have finished saying everything which might take a little while. So, no words from you till I’m done. Okay?” Kelly shook her head yes. “Okay then. Remember last week how we went clubbing at Studio 54, and you ran into that person and got knocked out. Well, ya’ ran in to Kevin Richardson. Yes, your Kevin. He carried you around the club in his arms looking for me for a good part of the night, and somehow Nick or one of them had seen you and me enter the club and knew that I was with you and walked around till they found me. Kevin drove you and I home in your car because I had had a little to drink and you obviously couldn’t drive. He carried you up to your room and put you to bed. Well, to make a long story short the guys basically invited us to their show tonight and it’s been a hell of a hard time keeping this secret from you. Brian Littrell and I are dating. Yes, Kevin’s cousin. He was the one I went out with a couple of nights ago. I like him a lot and have been talking to him tons on the phone. Kevin was the one who called and said he was Bobby because he just wanted to hear your voice. I was being such a dork and all weird at the mall that one day we went shopping because somehow, not on purpose, the boys showed up too. That’s about the whole story. So to recap, you’ve made a huge impression on Kevin and he seems to like you very much. I’m dating Brian Littrell and right now we’re going to the Backstreet Boys concert. Afterwards we are going out with them to begin your relationship with Kevin. Understand?” Kelly’s eyes were big and all she was doing was nodding her head. Madison waved a hand in front of her face, but Kelly gave no reaction. “Kel? Riley? You still in there?” Kelly slowly turned her head to look Madison in the eyes and spoke slowly. “I have dreamt for this moment for the last week. I just don’t know what to say, except that I’m nervous and excited all at the same time. I think that I am falling in love with this man that I’ve only seen one time and I am shocked because I can’t believe that he actually has feelings back for me. I can’t believe that he’s seen me many times and that you never said anything, and I can’t believe that you didn’t tell me that the guy you’re dating is Brian. But I’m so happy. My mom told me that maybe Kevin was life’s gift back to me and now I’m beginning to think so too. Maybe fate does have something in store for me. One last thing. I’m glad that those roses weren’t from you!!!” The two girls hugged and laughed for a long time and enjoyed their VIP treatment for the time remaining.
