Same night,  the concert…

“Brian, I don’t see them in the box seats yet. Where are they?”  Kevin was nervously checking the crowd and each time he did he heard the fans scream as he poked his head around the curtains.  He was wringing his hands. Brian came up to him. “Kev, they’ll be here. Don’t worry. You’ve got to concentrate on the show. Just sing like she’s out there even though she might not be. Just imagine she’s here.  That’s what I’m doing.”  Brian patted Kevin on the back and the two went to warm-up with the rest of the guys

“Madison, look at all these little girls.  I feel like a dork around them.  They all have signs and everything.  Listen to them scream.  I can’t even hear myself think.”  The usher was leading the ladies to the box seats.  He wished them a good show and left.  Madison and Kelly looked where their seats were.  Not one person was in their way.  They could see the stage perfectly.  As they sat down Kelly stopped them. “Look, they left us flowers here too.  How sweet.  Read the little tag.  Oops, this is your seat I guess.  This bouquet is from Brian.”  The two sat down and switched their bouquets so they could read the notes. Madison started to read hers and stopped.  “Listen to what he wrote Kelly.  Dear, Madison, the leading lady of my life.  It seems like years since I’ve kissed you and yet it’s only been days.  I hope you enjoy tonight and I can’t wait to see you afterwards.”  Madison smiled and told Kelly to read her note from Kevin. “Okay.  Dear, Kelly. Remember me? I know you’ve only seen me once, but I’ve seen you a couple of times.  I want to get to know you a lot better, and I hope that you feel the same.  We have more in common than you think.  Can’t wait to see you after the show. Kev” Just as the girls were finishing reading their notes the lights dimmed and the sound of Star Wars came in on the speakers. Everyone around them jumped up and started screaming.  Madison and Kelly looked at each other and smiled.  It was time to see what their men were made of.

The boys came flying out on their surfboards singing “Larger than Life.”  The rest of the concert was a blur until the song “Back to Your Heart,” came around.  As Kevin’s piano was raising up out of the stage, all the boys were speaking.  Brian and Kevin were next to talk.  Brian started.  He looked up to where Madison and Kelly was sitting and began speaking, “We ‘d like to dedicate this song to two very special ladies tonight.”  Kevin broke in, “Yeah, very special. So special we’re not going to say their names because, well, because they already know who they are hopefully.”  The two waved and blew kisses to the girls and took their places to sing “Back to Your Heart.”

The girls were amazed through the whole concert.  They couldn’t believe how good the guys were.  The fans screamed for more songs once the guys were done and after two extra songs, they finally left the stage.  The fans cleared out quickly in hopes that the guys would be leaving the parking lot.  The usher came back to the girls and led them behind the stage.  He sat the girls down in the green room in front of a TV and just told them to wait.  An hour later the guys came out of their dressing rooms.  Expecting their ladies to jump up and greet them, they were met by another surprise.  Madison and Kelly were sound asleep on the couch.  “Look at how beautiful they are Brian.  Should we wake them up?”  Brian agreed and each went to their respective ladies.  Brian sat down next to Madison.  He gently shook her and she slowly woke up. She hugged him and he hugged her back. Brian spoke first, “How’d you like the show?  We worked extra hard to make sure you guys had fun.  Did you?”  Madison smiled and kissed Brian on the lips.  She was about to speak, but kissed him harder again the second time. “Does that answer you question?  If not, I’ll just tell you. I had a great time.  You’re so cute out there.  You were great.  I know Kelly had a great time too.”  Brian smiled back, “Good.  That makes me feel so much better.  Let’s get this night started.”  The two turned around to see if Kevin had gotten Kelly up yet.  Kevin was sitting next to Kelly just watching her sleep. Kevin looked up at Madison and Brian. “I just want to watch her for awhile.  She’s so beautiful.”  Brian smiled and led Madison out of the room. As he shut the door he said to Kevin, “Don’t keep us too long.  Ten minutes tops.  We’ve got dinner reservations remember?”  Kevin silently shook his head yes.  He watched Kelly for a couple of more minutes and then decided that it was time to wake her up.  He gently shook her and was greeted with her steel gray eyes.  A look of surprise crossed her face as she full awoke.  She stuttered, “Hi, long time no see, huh? How’s the stitches?”  Kevin laughed, “Well, actually I’ve kind of forgotten them at the moment.  It hasn’t really been that long since I’ve seen you, more than you might remember.  By complete mistake most of the time.”  They both smiled.  Kevin offered his hand and helped Kelly up from the couch.  He was amazed at how beautiful she looked. “Wow, you look great.”  Kelly blushed, “Thanks.  I really enjoyed your show.  Y’all are great singers.”  Kevin smiled to himself at the sound of her accent.  “Thank you very much.  We try hard to make our fans happy.  Enough talk though.  Let’s get to the rest of your surprise.  It’s time for dinner at Top of The Rocks.  Elegant cuisine, dining, and dancing.”  Kelly got a weird look on her face as she realized that she would have to eat in front of Kevin.  If Kevin noticed he didn’t say anything.  He offered her his arm and she hesitantly took it.  Kevin noticed her reaction this time and stopped. “Kelly, do you want to try this with me?  Because I would really like to give it a good chance.  I know it seems weird, but since I first saw you in the hospital I couldn’t stop thinking about you.  And then when I ran into you at the club, I knew it had to be fate.  My mom even knows your mom…”  Kelly interrupted him, “What did you say about your mom?”  Kevin was confused, “Oh, I just said that my mom and your parents know each other very well from church.  She’s even seen a picture of you.  She thinks your really beautiful, and I agree with her.”  Kelly smiled and spoke, “Kevin, yes.  I do want to try this with you.  You haven’t left my mind since you ran out of the doors of the hospital. I’ve even talked to my parents about you and they actually met you last summer. But I’m just afraid to say yes completely, well, because… nevermind.  Let’s enjoy tonight and see what happens.”  Kelly squeezed Kevin’s arm and the two left.

At dinner, all of the BSB, and Madison and Kelly…

“Man, I’m stuffed.  Can’t eat anymore.”  AJ put his napkin down on the table and stood up. “Okay, I’m ready to get this party going.  Doc Riley, come dance with me.”  Kelly smiled and took AJ’s outstretched hand.  “I’d love to.”  Kelly patted Kevin’s leg under the table and smiled at him to let him know she hadn’t forgotten him and left with AJ towards the dance floor.  Kevin watched as she walked off with him.  Madison was the one to speak first. “Okay, guys I have something very serious to tell you.  Actually, Brian, can I talk to you alone?”  Brian nodded and took Madison’s hand and walked off towards the bathrooms.  Nick and Kevin and Howie were quietly talking. “So, Kev.  How’s the night so far with Kelly?”  Nick scooted his chair closer to hear his answer.  “Well.  She seems hesitant, but I don’t know if it’s me or other things.  We talked about starting a relationship in a round about way and I think that she’s open to it.  She’s just so gorgeous.  I can’t keep my eyes off of her.”  Nick got bored with Kevin’s serious talk and left to go dance.  Howie finished talking with Kevin.  “I’m glad things are going good.  She’s very happy and comfortable with us.  You two seemed to be in another world in the car on the way here.  That has to be a good sign.  I don’t know if it means anything though, but look.  She hardly ate anything.”  Kevin looked at her plate next to him.  Kelly’s plate was almost full.  Not even her salad was finished.  “Howie, you swear not to talk about this?”  Howie agreed, “You know that I won’t talk.”  Kevin started slowly. “On the way home from the club that one night, Madison talked a little more than she should of, but I’m glad she did.  She mentioned that Kelly has a severe eating disorder.  She skips many days without eating anything at all.  To top it off, she runs for an hour every single morning, without missing a day.  It all started about a year ago.  Madison wouldn’t tell me anymore than that.  I think that it might have been a hard breakup or something more serious.  I just don’t know.  Madison made sure that I took it slow and made sure Kelly had my full trust.”  Howie spoke, “I think that you should keep her problem on the down low till you two feel more comfortable together, but it’s definitely something you’ll have to deal with eventually.  Don’t worry now though.  Have fun while you’re with her.  Go steal her from AJ before she falls for him.”  Kevin smiled at Howie and got up from the table. “Thanks man.”  Kevin made his way to the dance floor.  Howie watched as he politely asked AJ for Kelly’s hand.  AJ gladly agreed, left Kelly and Kevin to themselves, and came back and joined Howie at the table.
