We've had the fair going on this week. So of course it's been raining. And will probably continue to do so until the fair is over on the 18th. It's some kind of Murphy's law of state fairs I do believe. =) Not that I mind the rain. However when it seems like rain is about all we've had this summer. It gets old......Quite possibly the yuckiest summer I've ever had weather/smoke wise. Actually the reports say we've had more rain this year then we did the year it flooded. Back in the late 60's-70's something, and if it wasn't for the flood gate that was later built. We would have flooded this year. So we've had ALOT of rain.......
Oh well there's always next year to work on my tan =) Shawn and I went to the fair on thursday. Shawn doesn't like going to the fair usually and hates walking in the rain. I, on the other hand love both. Being the good guy that he is, he came because I wanted to. And to his credit, he didn't complain once. Which surprised me a bit. Especially when it turned from a sprinkle to a downpour. But we actually had alot of fun soaking wet or not.It was just the two of us. So it was kind of like a date. Which Lauren thought was funny "because we already knew each other" I told her that mommies and daddies still need to go out on dates. (Boy howdy, do we.......lol, she has no idea)  I used the old "you'll understand when you're older" line. Boy I hated that one when I was a kid. Weird how those things go full circle. Anyways we walked around for about 3 hours just holding hands. Looking at everything, stopping at all our favorite greasy fair food places and just enjoying each other. Kinda brought me back to the days when Shawn and I were just dating. Everything was so much simpler then. Not that I would give up anything for what we have now. But sometimes it's nice to look back.

We took Artemis to the vet for a well-kittie check up and he passed with flying colors. Which is good, since we'd kinda like to keep him. He fits right into our little family. At the moment he is laying on the desk besides me. Every once in awhile he'll reach his paw out and touch my hand. I think he's trying to help me with me typing. Either that or he's just

trying to remind me that he's here. Thinks I've forgotten about him. (Impossible, goofy boy) Artemis is a big eleven pound black and white fluffy ball. With an almost constant rumble in his belly. I'm glad we found him. I found this little pic that looks like him. (since still no luck with the scanner)All it needs is a black stripe down the middle of his nose and that's my kittie........what a cutie
