I've been walking around all day with that wonderful butterfly feeling you get. You know the one, the feeling you get in your tummy after a first kiss, the first time you realize your in love. The feeling my honey still gives me all the time =) Like this morning as I tried to get up out of bed to get ready for work. He just grabbed me, pulled me back into the covers. Tightly wrapped his arms around me, kissed the back of my head, and told me how much he loved me. The way he said it, well put a smile on my face all day. And that warm fuzzy feeling I was telling you about earlier. Just reminds me what a lucky girl I am. Ok enough of the mushy stuff.
Shawn and I have been on a endless search for the perfect peice of land to build our dream house on. Last weekend we went on a Sunday drive with the kids. Just like I did with my folks when I was little. Weird how that circle turns. Anyways and found a lovily spot. It's five acres, kinda on the other side of the hill from my parents. The lot is covered with beautiful birch trees and the price is right. I'm trying not to get to excited about it. In case we don't get it, but I have my fingers crossed in the back on my mind all the same. You have no idea how strong the urge I have to chop and clear land. I'm not sure if you'd call that nesting or what. =)
We had a nice Memorial day, even if everyone we knew was out of town except us.......lol. Our buddy Shane drove up from Anchorage, wanting to show off his newest (very young) girlfriend. The jury is still out on my feelings about that one. She does seem nice though. He (or they) showed up fairly late on our doorstep. I was actually already in bed when we heard the knock on the door. Needless to say it ended up being a late night. But it's always so nice to see Shane. I wish he'd move back up here. Miss having his skinny butt around =) Anyways Shawn made the yummiest BBQ. "Oh yummy" as I drool all over the keyboard just thinking about it. Man I love this time of year, with the guys cooking out on the grill. I made potato salad and other Memorial day weekend goodies. We have enough left overs to last us a week so the holiday will live on happily in our tummys. Speaking of which (hee-hee) I'm off to get me some....lol
The bugers are calling my name =)
