My computer and I have been fighting all week. (Then again when are we not .....lol, Actually this time it's not the computers fault. I blame Shawn. He likes to dink around with the controls and programs of the computer. Which is fine, most of the time. But lately he's been trying to reinstall explorer. And everytime he trys that.....He messes everything up. He really likes explorer, I myself like netscape. Mainly because it works well with the page building tools I use for this site. For some reason the two refuse to run happily together in the computer at the same time. Yet he keeps trying, netscape isn't good enough....oh no! Lol =) It's like Ford vs. Chevy. I'm Ford, he's Chevy. This time he somehow managed to screw up my icq programs. He swears he didn't delete anything having to do with it. But then why are none of my icq plugins working? Why is my icq plus completely gone, and why do about a thousand DLL error messages pop up everytime I log the thing on.....hmmmmm? He has no answers for that. And sadly neither do I. I've been trying my best to fix the problems. However I'm afraid the only way is going to be to completely uninstall all of icq out of the system and start all over again. The idea of losing all my chat buddy lists and info doesn't thrill me one bit. Some of you out there I've been chatting with for years. I know I can write down the icq #'s but it's the history I hate to lose. I'm going to try a couple of more things before I actually go through with it. When I do I'll probably just let Shawn do a clean sweep of the entire harddrive. Just get rid of everything and start all over. If I'm gonna lose I might as well lose it all in one fell swoop. Kinda depressing actually (pout) Oh well you know what I'll be up to next week. Which is better then what I've been doing this week, playing ALOT of golf on the play station......I know my bad. But that game is addictive =) |
