My name is Poon-San, and I am a foreign devil. This website is dedicated to my semester in Japan. For stories and personal experiences, check out my Journal. Great TV commercial. A classic example of how content has nothing to do with subject here in Japan. A must see. What is it you ask? Why, it's a loan shark company commercial for "Takefuji Yen Shop"! You can borrow money with only a 30% interest rate! What a great deal! Why anyone would want to borrow money at 30% interest is beyond me, but they have cute girls dancing for their commercials, so they must be a great company! By the way, the text at the end reads, "Please plan ahead when using. Be sure not to borrow too much." Haha! Here's the company's release statement: "The purpose of updating this new version is to express that Takefuji is a young company and vibrant with life as a leading company in consumer finance in Japan. The concept is for viewers and customers to feel comfortable and a great sense of security by introducing dancing scene with new costume and common conversational scene among office workers."
