![]() Brad Brown's Swing Bike Restoration Part III
Brad writes: "All done!! Bike is completed bar some frame stickers (on order) Original badge has been detailed and refitted, note for swingbike restorers: refit badge before fitting forks as it's a little hard to rivet the badge on when there is a fork tube inside!! Was going to fit a front brake but decided not to, to keep the bike 'clean and simple' anyway if your going fast enough on a swing Bike to need the front brake then your in trouble!! Bike looks brand new and rides well, it may not be original but I am very happy the way it has turned out." Brad continues: "... in this pic is my 'other' muscle bike a 70's Malvern Star Dragstar, a must have for aussie kids in the 70's!!!!! This is my next 'restore' project Brad Brown
Brad says: "Have sent a couple of updated pics of my bike, do you like my $2 from-the-auto shop rear reflector?? Also got my repro frame stickers from California, they look great!! Bike looks absoloutley mint, ridden it a bit but don't want finger prints on the chrome/paintwork! hahaha" Webmaster's Note: Thanks Brad for the story and pics! If anyone else has a Swing Bike story or pics, feel free to e-mail me.![]() ![]() |
