“You Can Have It If You
Really Want It!”
page 208 of
Prospering Woman by Ruth
Ross, Ph.D.
Writing this book has been
an exciting adventure for me, and a concrete example of manifestation.
I took a year's leave of absence from college teaching to write it, visualizing
and affirming from the start its existence in print.
The physical setting in which I chose to write it was also a culmination
of a ten-year-old dream. With my new husband, I moved onto a houseboat
in the San Francisco Bay, where most of my twelve-hour composing and typing
days were spent out on the deck, enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
All of this too came about through visualization, affirmation, and meditation.
Every chapter was a new confrontation with myself, as I found I could write
about nothing I had left undone in my own life. Just as in teaching, I
could write only about what I was living. Although little of what
I have written is original in concept, it is so thoroughly integrated into
my life that these ideas are no longer a technique outside myself; they
are now a way of life. It has been an act of love to review sources
and filter information through my own experience, to put it all together
in an understandable form so that we may communicate together.
Prosperity consciousness is not something you just get and then have the
rest of your life. Once you get it, you never lose it, but we all
need to be reminded of it at times. As one of my favorite teachers
told me, "I'm teaching you so there will be more of us out there living
it - then you can remind me when I forget."
I encourage you to create
your daily routine today that supports living the life you fantasize for
tomorrow. Here is a morning routine I've found helpful.*

Naturally, a tape leading you through a morning and evening meditation
process is available through Whatever Publishing.
MORNING ROUTINE
Visualizing and Affirming
Process
1. Read goals
- of the year, once a month
- of the month, once a week
- of the week, every day
- choose one goal for today
to focus on
2. Visualize goals
-from your visualization
notebook
-concentrate on the chosen
goal for the day
3. Affirm weekly affirmations
-repeat affirmations out
loud five times
-concentrate on the chosen
goal for the day
4. Write affirmation of the day ten times
5. Eyes closed process:
-Breathe deeply three times,
close eyes and relax.
-See the word 'relax' on
the inside of your forehead.
-Let your whole body 'melt'
into the floor or chair as you let go even more.
-With each exhalation, count
down from 10 to 1 and repeat the word, 'deeper’
-When totally relaxed, non-verbally:
-Affirm your oneness with
universal energy.
-Thank infinite intelligence
for all you already have.
-Forgive all who have offended
you; include your-self
-Declare the negative attitude
you are prepared to give up today.
-Affirm your goals of the
week 'as if' they had already happened.
-Visualize your goals of
the week 'as if' they were already yours.
-Feel now how you will feel
when your goals are manifested.
-Finish with: "This or something
better, with good for all concerned."
-Allow your mind to become
still and quiet - remain in concentrated quiet listening. -Count up from
1 to 10, repeating, "Every day in every way I am feeling better and better,"
with each breath.
-Open your eyes, feeling
alive, awake, enthusiastic to do the work that only you can do to manifest
your dreams, feeling assured of success.
Keep your visualization notebook
with your yearly, monthly, and weekly goal sheets all together where you
do your daily inner work.
This whole process is based upon the following five key thoughts that you
may want to remind yourself of:
1. By daily thanking the universe for all the love and good that you already have in your life, you are acknowledging your oneness with universal energy, and the wheels are set in motion to manifest your desires automatically
2. By concentrating on choosing wisely what you want, not only are you going to be satisfied, but you are willing to realize the consequences and are ready to pay the price for what you want.
3. When you can relax with a quiet mind, you have access to another reality of the higher self. This inner communication is your real work of life. Your outer work is but a reflection of this inner work.
4. Meditation is the means of consulting with your higher self who is available at all times, and knowledgeable on all issues concerning you. When you stay in meditation long enough to:
a. ask for direction5. Your ability to give and to forgive are the gifts from infinite intelligence which allow you to open up receptively to the bounty of the universe.
b. visualize your desires
c. affirm with feeling that the goals are yours
d. listen with focused awareness you receive the insights guiding you to your next step.
EVENING ROUTINE
An evening routine is equally important. Ten minutes before falling asleep:
1. Review your day Are there incidents you need to 'repair'? If so, visualize yourself going through that incident, handling it just the way you wish you had done it. Then release it.
2. Review your most important
goal
Give instruction to your
Inside Awareness to bring this goal into being with good for all concerned.
3. Ask for dreams with clear messages Keep your dream journal handy to record important feeling dreams with messages about your life situations.
4. Give thanks to the universe for a good night's restful sleep.
Fortunately, we will never unravel the infinite mysteries of life, so there
will be no end to the fun of trying to. With these exercises, routines,
and new ways of thinking, we are learning to chart our course, going with
the tide of universal energy, guaranteed to take us to what-ever is best
for us. The energy focused by the subconscious manifests in so many
ways, with no barriers in time or space to stop it, that we must always
be prepared for the unexpected ways our dreams are realized.
Once you have awakened to your true nature, your real purpose, and have
an appreciation of all the opportunities of abundance around you, you have
also awakened your power to create more than you need of everything in
your life. Now that you know you will succeed because you have the
tools to assure that success, you are ready to expect everything and know
that you already have it all.
Enjoy!
