Keez: (pauses dramatically) "Asazi", by CV!
Both: (cheer)
Fidget: Not only that, but CV has prepared an acceptance speech. CV, if you would...?
(CV enters stage left, holding a few note cards, and clears his throat. Fidget and Keez drift back a few steps to free up the microphone)
CV: There are many great stories written these days, and many classic novels that still impact our society. Such classics like Webster's Dictionary and How To Avoid Taxes. Not to mention the sooner released novels such as "The Hardy Boys" and the short (and long) stories of Edgar Allen Poe.
Now this is supposedly an acceptance speech for an
award that I somehow won out of dumb luck.... I appreciate those that
voted for me and those that reviewed and those that don't acknowledge a fic's
presence, I simply have to say screw you. Entering a story on FF.Net is
almost (should be considered as) signing an agreement that you will review, no
matter how unbelievable pathetic the story might be.
Anyway, enough of my s***...on to a more serious note...
Thanks for voting and reviewing. My Mother was proud and I greatly appreciate it. Review all there is to review. Thanks.
(crowd cheers loudly, Fidget and Keez grin and clap. CV bows and exits to take a seat in the audience)
Fidget: Great speech, CV, great job!
Keez: And, as the only one to send in a speech to have included, I feel CV deserves another round of applause!
(crowd cheers again)
Fidget: All right, then. The next category was 'Romance', if I remember correctly.
Keez: You don't have to remember, I've got the tallying site right here.
Fidget: You do?
Keez: Yeah, here. (holds up a piece of green paper and points)
Fidget: Well, what do you know, I was right! Cool.
Keez: Romance was second-place in 'Most-Used Action Man Genre.'
Fidget: Yes, romance is a biggun with the writers. Fine by me, even when it comes to F/A.
Keez: Watch it, you're dealing with a huge portion of the fans, here. We wouldn't want them to revolt.
Fidget: I told you I should have brought my rolling pin.
Keez: Just shut up and announce the winner.
Fidget: D'you have the card?
Keez: No, I thought you had it.
Fidget: Shoot...No, wait...here it is, it was in my sock...
Keez: I won't ask.
Fidget: And the winner of the Best Action Man
Romance Fan Fic Award is...
