betchadupa are Joe Bramley, Chris Garland, Liam Finn and Matt Eccles. They hail from New Zealand's most obnoxious city, Auckland. Despite their relative youth and dubious origins, the betchadupa lads are renowned for their funky sound and charismatic onstage performances. |

were formerly known as Lazy Boy and a single, Brighter Sound, which appears
on the soundtrack to the Australian movie Cut, is accredited to this former
name. However, an unfortunate "spring in the rump" incident prompted the
aforementioned name change. [Chris + Lazy Boy chair = spring in the butt]

released a self titled EP in 2000, on New Zealand's Flying Nun Records.
They released a second EP, the 3D EP, in January 2001. betchadupa's debut
album THE ALPHABETCHADUPA was released in
May 2002. GO BUY IT!!!
