A quirky sense of humor and a flair for the unusual: two traits that recur
frequently throughout Aleksei Urmanov's programs, choreography, style, and
costumes, and (perhaps not coincidentally) among his fans. This webpage,
a collection of unorthodox tributes to the Ur-Man, is dedicated to the less
serious aspects of being a member of Ruffle Nation. Like the sequins,
feathers, ruffles, wings, and bric-a-brac that ornament Aleksei's costumes,
the links on this page are extra bits of "phan phluff" for dedicated souls
who crave rococo trimmings, or for anyone who's ever gotten carried away.
Fanhood is not a prerequisite (though it helps). Many things about
Aleksei's costumes and choreography are mysterious or inexplicable to the
outside viewer, and this web page has taken on the thankless task of
filling in the gaps with complete nonsense. We hope you enjoy it.
