The Vigil of an Elected Avalonian Catholic Knight

All true Templar servants, both the great and small,
are summoned by earthbones to behold the Graal.
We, awestruck, hard now to our weak knees fall.
Bright sights and dark mysteries do us apall.
The Singing Stones ever unto us do call!

-- from a chant Copyright 2001 Jon Ryner ---

On the evening before the initiation of a knight, s/he meditates, preferably most or all of the night before an altar where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved.

The eighth degree of Knight corresponds to the Holy Order of Deacon and both rituals are combined in our ordination system.
